Setting Sail on the Sea Eagle

The morning sun was just beginning to cast its golden glow over Ao Nang as I eagerly awaited the start of my private speedboat tour to the Hong Islands. As a marine biologist, the allure of exploring the turquoise waters and towering cliffs of this archipelago was irresistible. The Sea Eagle speedboat, sleek and ready, promised an intimate adventure, free from the crowds that often accompany such excursions.

Our guide, a knowledgeable local with a passion for the sea, welcomed us aboard with a warm smile. Here, time seemed to stand still, allowing us to fully immerse ourselves in the serene surroundings.

After lunch, we ventured into the hidden lagoon of Hong Island. Approaching the narrow entrance, I felt a sense of anticipation. The word “Hong” means “room” in Thai, and as we entered, it was as if we had stepped into a secret chamber of nature’s wonders. The turquoise waters were framed by towering cliffs, creating a scene so mesmerizing, it felt like a dream.

Kayaking through the lagoon was an exhilarating experience, offering a different perspective of this natural marvel.
