Good trip ran very smoothly-check your pick up points prior to allow time - Although I’m familiar with Railey west v’s East beach all along the ticket said pick up West beach but this was not the case we had to go to East beach to the pick up note to self check your emails or contact the support as always very helpful good journey all went well once again

Organised and safe - Took this ferry and due to tide being out you need to get on a longtail boat and then climb aboard the ferry in deeper water. All done easily and safely. Comfortable journey in air conditioning with clean toilets.

went smoothly - We booked the ferry online through the Aonang travel website. I received the email confirmation a few hours after. It is probably not necessary to book online but I liked the idea of getting things booked and paid for while at home. We met a the Railay beach meeting spot and where checked in by the Aonang staff with no problems. From there we were shuttled out to the ferry by longtail boats, then the two hour ride to Lanta. Sitting outside in the breeze seemed to be more comfortable than the "air conditioned" inside seating. There were a fair amount of people on the boat, but I couldn't really comment on overcrowding. Overall a fairly smooth process that went as expected.

Better than it looks - Was a fast simple service. We were a bit worried about transferring onto the ferry from a long tail boat with our bags and two young children but it was quick and easy with staff to help. Inside was air-conditioned.

Seemed like a scam - We waited for an hour in the designated location. We eventually walked up the beach and started asking around and were told that we were supposed to meet somewhere else and the ferry had left without us. Coincidentally there was someone there offering to take us by boat and taxi for over twice as much as we paid for this ferry. Seemed like it was all set up. Then viator refused to give me a refund for a trip I never took.
