Highlights
  • Ao Nang Krabi Thai Boxing Stadium - Muay Thai, also known as Thai boxing or Thai kickboxing, is the national sport of Thailand. This martial art is a method of self-defense that was honed and utilized in combat by the ancient warriors from the kingdom of Siam. It integrates kickboxing with a form of stand-up wrestling known as clinching, and is often described as the ‘art of the eight limbs’ because it involves using the hands, elbows, feet, and knees to strike an opponent.\n\nMuay Thai is recognized as the most ancient form of kickboxing, as well as the most lethal and efficient. Typically, a professional Thai boxer will not exceed a weight of 55 kilograms, and time after time, when facing competitors trained in various other martial arts, the Muay Thai practitioner has consistently emerged victorious.\n\nTraining for Muay Thai is rigorous and starts at an early age, around six or seven years old, with a fighter’s initial bout usually occurring by the age of eight. Beyond the pursuit of financial rewards, these fighters aspire to compete in the iconic Bangkok arenas, Lumpini and Ratchadamnoen. Achieving this level of success is a rare honor that only a select few attain, and their bouts are broadcasted weekly to millions of Thai enthusiasts.\n\nThese matches are not mere exhibitions for tourists; they are genuine contests that draw regular attendance from local Thai spectators.

To do for a first experience! - We went to see these fights, I was impressed to see the respect and all the ritual before fighting...despite all this violence, the respect is such that I highly recommend sharing this culture, this sport! I loved ! Thank you to all the fighters for this great show!

It's a scam, DO NOT BOOK!! - DO NOT BOOK!!! It's a scam. They advertised for an event that doesn't exist at that location and refused to refund our money. Utterly disappointed, I will never book with Viator again.
