- Ruwanweli Maha Seya - The Ruwanweli Maha Seya, also referred to as the Mahathupa, is a stupa situated in Anuradhapura, Sri Lanka. It houses two quarts or one Dona of the Buddha’s relics, making it the largest repository of his relics worldwide.
- Dagoba of Thuparama - Thuparamaya is recognized as the first stupa constructed in Anuradhapura following the introduction of Buddhism to Sri Lanka. - Lankarama Sthupa - This stupa was constructed in the 1st century B.C. by King Walagamba (89 B.C. – 77 B.C.). Chronicles mention it was also known as Silasobbakandaka and Galhebakada. Initially, it was called Somarama Stupa in honor of Queen Soma, who saved the king’s life.
- Mirisaveti Stupa - The Mirisawetiya stupa was built by King Dutugemunu (161BC – 137BC) after defeating the South Indian invader King Elara. According to legend, King Dutugemunu once went to Tissa Wewa for a bath, leaving his scepter behind. Upon returning, the scepter could not be moved, prompting the king to construct the stupa at the site where the scepter remained.
