- Pacaya Volcano - Embark on a journey to the most active volcano with this half-day excursion to Pacaya Volcano from Antigua Guatemala. Ascend to an elevation of 8,000 feet alongside a knowledgeable guide as you traverse the paths of the nation’s most dynamic volcano.
Departure for the tour is from most hotels in Antigua Guatemala. The pickup time will occur within a 15-minute window of the confirmed departure time. The hike to Pacaya’s summit spans 2-3 hours and is sufficiently gentle for beginners yet offers enough of a challenge to serve as a physical exercise.
The trail’s atmosphere is characterized by the moist climate of the neighboring volcanoes: Agua, Fuego, and Acatenango. The volcano’s accessibility ensures that even those not in peak physical condition can enjoy the climb.
Please note: A minimum of two adult passengers is necessary for the tour to proceed. If this requirement is not met, the tour may be canceled, with a full refund or rescheduling of tickets offered.
Participants are advised to wear walking shoes and bring a hat, sunglasses, and a camera.

What an awesome experience!!! - The guides were so friendly and went out of their way to provide an amazing experience for us! They even gave us jackets we could wear because we didn't have any. Excellent customer service! We loved roasting Marshmallows over the hot lava rocks. This was an u forgettable experience!

The Ultimate Experience! - The experience for Pacaya Volcano was Amazing! From start to finish , I had an awesome time. I met my Guide and Driver who made the process extremely smooth and seamless. Victor and Oscar picked me up and they did a wonderful job explaining where we were and getting there in a timely manner.
Daniel was my guide and he was excellent! Made me feel comfortable, very friendly, and catered to my needs. In addition, his knowledge to explain everything was great ! I would recommend this to friends and would personally come again when i visit. Overall memorable experience with good people at a magical place at the Pacaya Volcano! Thank you

10/10 recommend this tour! - This is an amazing tour with an amazing guide! Daniel absolutely added to our experience, he was very kind and welcoming and had a lot of information to share! His English was very good as well. He arranged for us to ride horses to the top - where we had pizza and roasted marshmallows. Thank you Daniel!!

Amazing!!!! - Bery welcoming, speaks amazing English and give alot good information on the knowledge of volcana pocaya!! Love it and the horse coca kola, i even ate marshmallows and bought volcanic jewlery

Climb to Volcán de Pacaya viewpoint with David - I hiked up to the viewpoint of Volcán de Pacaya in Guatemala. David was my guide. He did a great job since he provided a lot of explanations, about the volcano; but also about plants, traditional Maya medicine. He is professional and friendly at the same time. On a personal note - although his English is perfect, I was grateful he put up with my Spanish and practiced with me.

Great experience at Pacaya! - We had a very good experience at Pacaya. We had a lot of road closures on the way due to processions around Easter but our driver expertly navigated them and got us there. Our guide Daniel, who took us up to the top, knew a lot about the area and went at our pace. We had a group of six and another couple joined us. He did not rush us either to get to the top or to get us down more quickly. We took the time to enjoy the roasted marshmallows at the top and got one of the overpriced but delicious pizzas. Well worth the time and money to do this trip!

Fun, interactive, educational, flexible, comfortable. - Erwin wqs my tour guide and you can tell he is passionate about what he does. He knows about everything; from the general history of Guatemala, the significance of Antigua, the best places to get coffee and authentic Guatemalan food, and of course, every tour destination he takes you to. He climbed the Volcano with us and had horses and a local guides on standby just for our comfort if needed. And even on the way back from the site, he gave knowledge on all other tours I had done and coming up. Definitely recommend Erwin for any tour you do. With PHD level knowledge, he is sure to make you leave smarter - not just about the tour you take, but about the history and significance of his country - Guatemala.

Great experience! - We had a great time.
Victor the driver picked us up at our hotel and took us to the beginning of the trail.
Daniel was our guide and he was very knowledgeable about the volcano. He helped us get marshmallows to cook in the vent, which was a highlight.
Highly recommend!
