Additional Information
The Pacaya Volcano is one of the most active volcanoes in Guatemala, with a height of approximately 2,500 meters above sea level. The environment is made up of wet forests and rocks. It has stunning views of the Calderas Lagoon which we visit from the seat of our ATVs and three other volcanoes: Agua, Fuego, and Acatenango. On our unique Adventure we will take ATVs from San Vicente Pacaya to various areas near and around the Pacaya Volcano. We will go on various trails to some of the villages located at the base of the volcano, where we are able to hike up the side of the volcano on top of the petrified lava flow as high as you are able to go. Throughout the tour we will be able to admire different views of the volcanoes and drive through some of the villages. We will drive through different off road trails, and we will even take some time to drive on the volcanic sand and lava fields inside of a private plantation.
We DO NOT go to the San Vicente Pacaya National park.

Incredible experience! - This was one of the highlights of our Guatemala trip! Such an incredible experience ATV’ing along the lava beds and having a chance to hike up to see the sights as well. The course was so much fun, slightly technical but felt safe and easy enough if you’ve ATV’d before and listen to the guide’s instructions. The guides are so patient and good vibes and everything was impeccable from the packed lunch provided and the comfortable van ride both ways. Can’t say enough positive things about this experience, highly recommend if you’re in the area

Highly Recommended! - My friend and I had a blast on this tour! Our guides, Estuarto and Anthony were exceptional. The ATVs were in great shape and the thrill of riding on hardened rivers of lava was unforgettable. The packed lunch they provided was also great. Highly recommended tour!

Great experience, great tour - A really great tour! A great combination of fun, action and exploration. The bag with the snacks was also really well thought out and the guide was just great!
It takes almost the whole day and is more strenuous than expected in some rocky and steep places.
We would do it again anytime!

A great tour!! - The experience was excellent!! Ideal for teenagers and adults who like adrenaline and if you are fearful you can go on your guide's ATV, our guide Estuardo came to me today in some more risky areas and it was great!! Great adventure in Guatemala! - We had an amazing time with Simoon tours. We actually did two days of ATV tours with them. One out of Antigua and one around Lake Atitlan. Both were awesome! So much fun. My friend was a beginner so they showed him the ropes of riding an ATV. The volcano part was just out of this world. We also got to do a small hike on the lava field (wear hiking boots). They also set up all our transfers around Guatemala and they all went perfect. I would recommend this company.

Thank you Geraldo and Erickson! - DO NOT MISS THIS TOUR!! Erickson and Geraldo were amazing hosts! Wear sunscreen you will need it. We left Antigua right on time and arrived an hour later to a small town with a garage where we got our ATVs and helmets- we went to three stops. A crater lake, a lava bed from 2021 and lava dunes- hands down one of the best ATV tours we’ve ever done- I would say for first timers it might be a bit challenging but it was amazing!

It is worth it! - A wonderful, unexpected and exciting adventure!! I had never ridden a quad bike. However, it went well with the guidance provided by the Lester Guide. The interesting thing about passing through villages is getting to know the daily life of the Guatenmaltecos. When you arrive at the volcanic lavas, it’s something that looks like a movie. The whole trip is well worth it.

Super Fun & an Unexpected Opportunity to Experience Guatemala! - This was an amazing excursion! We loved riding through the villages and enjoyed the brights smiles of the locals! We really enjoyed our guide Diego! He was warm, friendly and a delight! The ATV ride was fun and adventurous! We enjoyed seeing hardened lava, sand dunes and wind mills! Diego was informative, professional and helpful! One of our favorite memories from our visit to Guatemala! Would definitely recommend!
