A Solo Cooking Class For The Win - Milton was incredible to work with. It turned out that I was the only one who had booked the tour and instead of canceling I was able to have a private tour. He picked me up promptly from El Parque Central and we went to the local market. We then cooked 3 different native dishes. I really enjoyed my time cooking with him. I am a student in Antigua right now taking Spanish classes. The tour was in English and Milton speaks English very well, but since I was on my own on the tour Milton was kind enough to speak in Spanish and help me learn even more words. It was a combination cooking and Spanish class and I really enjoyed myself!

A wonderful cooking class with a view - We had a wonderful experience with Milton and loved every moment of our cooking class! It started with a super fascinating tour of the local market where we learned a ton about local produce. It's a bit overwelming to check out the local market on your own so it was wonderful to have a guide. Then we were driven to the cooking location which is on the rooftop of Milton's family home with breathtaking views of the valleys and volcanoes. The the class was so seamless and we learned to make so many dishes. They even altered the dish to be vegetarian for me which I was very happy about. All in all it was a wonderful, super professional and intimate experience. I would definitely do another one of his classes and send my friends there.

10/10 - We definitely recommend this tour! As two young female travellers we felt completely safe and welcomed by Milton! The market tour and cooking class were extremely personal and thoughtful. The food was spectacular and so was the rooftop view! The class sizes are small (6 or less) and allow for hands on cooking compared to more corporate classes. Complimentary wine and lemonade as well 🙂 we’ve done a lot of cooking classes and this one topped them all.

A Taste of Guatemala - I have booked with Foodietenango for the street food tour, and I had the same tour guide, which was Milton! He is awesome. He gave us a walking tour of the large food market of Antigua, providing us the history and context of their local produce. He then drove our group of 3 to his beautiful home. At the rooftop, there is a gorgeous view while you are cooking. We made everything from scratch from the fruits, tostadas with guacamol with other toppings, pepian de pollo, and rellanitos dessert. We were also offered wine and water while cooking. I really enjoyed the whole process from the market to the cooking, and eating together. His wife Lourdes was there also helping us. As a solo traveler, I love the set up and vibes Milton offers. There was something very comforting about it and i felt like i was at home. I highly recommend taking this cooking class! Thank you Milton!
