Gerardo is the best! - Gerardo is fantastic! My daughter and I spent six hours with him on the surrounding villages of Antigua tour. We visited a chocolate factory, a macadamia nut farm and a women’s cooperative where we shared a meal with the women, practiced making tortillas and learned about the history and production of the beautiful hand-woven fabrics. Along the way, Gerardo taught us all about the history and culture of Guatemala. His knowledge is exceptional. But is it his wisdom and joy that contribute to him being an excellent guide. We feel like we spent the day with a good friend. Gerardo is our go to guide for future trips to Antigua.

Gerardo is a guide and much more - Gerardo is an excellent guide! He took me on a spectacular journey through local farms and villages, which were fantastic in themselves, but the best part was Gerardo himself. He seems to know everyone, and he shares both his and their insights on the current and historical condition of Guatemala. I go to Antigua often and I look forward to working with Gerardo for many more local insights.

Gerardo is the way to go! - Gerardo was as good as it gets with a guide! He made sure the tour was personalized to me and my interests. Starting from being kind, and having a lot of empathy and knowledge of Antigua Guatemala, Gerardo showed a lot of passion towards his work. And like any good guide, he knew how to adapt and give me very good recommendations for eating and where to visit. Without a doubt, Gerado stood out as my guide and he recommended it to everyone who wants to enjoy a personalized tour ☺️

Seeing the real Antigua Guatemala - What a fine Gerardo was and so glad we were introduced to him, we wouldn't have seen the real Antigua Guatemala. He walked us around Antigua, and took us in to building we wouldn't have thought of going into. The old monastery, now a hotel was a real surprise and to see parts of the original building being looked after and cared for was just wonderful. We didn't have any specific itinerary for Gerardo so he took us to what he thought was worth seeing, including a stop off for local coffee and beer, definitely recommend the Skybar, what a find with such beautiful views. Definitely would seek Gerardo out again, fingers crossed we do get to return and do look him up if you are heading to Antigua.

Great day in Antigua, Guatemala with Gerardo - We were really lucky to meet Gerardo in Antigua, Guatemala. We only had one day, visiting from a cruise ship, and wanted to make the most of it. We had planned to do it on our own but it quickly became evident that we would see a lot more and learn a lot more if we hired a local guide. Gerardo efficiently took us from place to place. We could tell right away that he had a plan, but was open to our ideas and needs. Some places we visited we would have never thought to look for and some we wouldn't have ever found without him. We also went places that we might not have been brave enough to visit independently. He listened to our requests and followed though. Gerardo was patient and kind, knowledgable and helpful. A lot of people greeted him on the streets as we made our way. He helped us with communication with other locals. We had advised him of our bus departure time and he walked us back to the bus pick up location and made sure that we were there on time. Overall, we had a great day in Antigua, thanks to Gerardo. We would happily hire him to be our guide again and have no hesitation recommending him.
