ANTANANARIVO - ANTSIRABE (170km)

Antsirabe - Depart after breakfast for Antsirabe. Make a stop in Ambatolampy, renowned for its aluminum production, and take a brief tour of the manufacturing workshop. Arrive in Antsirabe, also known as the “place of salt,” an elegant city recognized as the industrial hub of Madagascar. Explore the “Town of Water” or “Town of Rickshaws,” famous for its numerous thermal springs, two lakes, and thousands of rickshaws. Visit a workshop where miniatures are crafted from recycled materials.

ANTSIRABE - MIANDRIVAZO (220Km, approximately 4 hours)

Day 1 Boat trip: Miandrivazo – Masiakapy – Tsiribihina River Tour – Nosinapela Waterfall – Begidro Village – Camping

Day 2 Boat trip through Tsiribihina river

End of the boat trip – Tsarahotana Village – Antsiraraka Village – Belo sur Tsiribihina – Bekopaka

Avenue of the Baobabs - Return to Morondava via the track, passing through vast dry forests. Stop at the renowned “Baobab Avenue” at sunset. Cross the Tsiribihina River by ferry and continue by car. Morondava is located in the heart of Sakalava territory, known for the royal sculpted tombs of the Menabe ancestors and as the gateway to the Avenue of the Baobabs, one of Madagascar’s most photographed locations.

MORONDAVA – ANTSIRABE (490 km, 8 HOURS DRIVE).

Antsirabe - The drive from Morondava to Antsirabe offers a journey through diverse landscapes, from baobab-dotted plains to the cooler highlands. Pass by rural villages, rice fields, and picturesque valleys. Experience the contrast between the dry climate of western Madagascar and the fertile central region. Arrive in Antsirabe, celebrated for its thermal springs and colonial charm.

ANTSIRABE – ANTANANARIVO (370 KM 6 HOURS DRIVE).

Ville Thermale d’Antsirabe - Start the day with a city tour of Antsirabe, visiting its handicraft workshops and enjoying the town’s allure. Drive through scenic highland landscapes back to Antananarivo. Depending on flight schedules, enjoy some leisure time to explore the capital. Group flight passengers will be transferred to the airport in the late evening.
