Azores Nature Tours: Great way to explore Terceira Island! - Highly recommend James for whatever type of tour you decide to take. We had a wonderful bicycle trip with him, and then a great van tour of the East Coast. James is enthusiastic, knowledgeable, and clearly enjoys sharing his love for Terceira Island with visitors.

Highly recommend - We had no idea what to expect from booking online and we were so pleased! Guide was on time with a clean vehicle. They brought us to a beautiful lookout to start and somehow that wasn’t even the highlight. Vistas were beautiful and the guide both provided ample time to enjoy and moved us along so we could take in all kinds of sites.

Half day tour of eastern Terceira. - Amazing tour with a fantastic tour guide Amelia. There were 5 of us in the van which meant we all had plenty of space and it was equipped with air conditioning so we were very comfortable. Amelia was very friendly, polite and helpful. But most importantly she had bucket loads of knowledge about the islands history both human and natural. She was able to answer any of the questions that were thrown at her! The tour lasted 3 hours which was the perfect length. Overall a great afternoon and thanks very much Amelia and team!! Jason and Lynda

Smooth, cheerful and friendly tour with our guide Angela - Many thanks to Angela, who guided as (just another guest and myself - hence we were a small group of jolly 3 people altogether ) and was so friendly, knowledgeable and shared also the authentic history of Terceira. Tons of thank you also for the fantastic pictures you took - happy to have finally some quality photos that aren't just selfies here :) Hope to meet you again in the future !

Half day well spent - So much information packed into a half day. We did not feel rushed. We saw so many places and learned history on this beautiful island. Our guide Amalia was fantastic. Super informative. Very funny and friendly.

If you're looking for a quick but quality introduction to Terceira, this is it. - Blessed with an abundance of natural beauty, a rich history due to it's coincidentally strategic position on the globe, and a unique culture that continues to be consciously practised and preserved, a guided tour is the ideal way to navigate the 'must see' spots, as well as hidden gems that only locals would know to look out for. Our guide, Amélia, was so knowledgeable and informative; there were only a few quiet moments during each drive, because we constantly had curiosities arising after each stop - there wasn't a single question Amélia didn't know the answer to! Be prepared for four seasons in a day, and if you're lucky (or unlucky!) then you may also spot some Portugese Man Of War jellyfish. In spite of these, Terceira is nothing short of an island paradise, with a budding tourism sector waiting to welcome you with open arms. Even if you plan to make hiking your main mode of getting around the island, consider taking a driving tour first so that you can assess the distances between the landmarks you wish you visit, the various ascensions you will have to face on your journey, or perhaps just for some additional insight that you can't find in books, leaflets, or on the internet. Huge thanks to Amélia for making this tour a standout part of our holiday!
