Eungella National Park - Come with us to the beautiful Finch Hatton Gorge, part of Eungella (Yung-ga-lah) National Park, Australia’s longest continuous stretch of sub-tropical rainforest.
Marvel at the lush flora and volcanic boulders on our hike to a beautiful waterfall and swimming hole where you can take a refreshing dip and take in the spectacular views.
To top off the day, we stop at a Pioneer Valley local favourite for lunch, then head up the range to Eungella for some platypus spotting. Will we be lucky enough? Let us take you to the best spots to have the best chance!

Varied and great day trip - The day trip was very well organized and varied. Michelle was a very friendly guide and had a lot to say about the area and the platypuses. Thank you very much! The tour is highly recommended. We were of course thrilled that we were actually able to see the platypuses!

Amazing day out in nature and seeinh platypus - A real gem in Mackay, it is a lot more then seeing platypus, Michelle knows so much about the area and the nature. Seeing the cute platypus is a bonus. The lunch was amazing and the waterfall is a fun stop along the way.

Best tour ever! - Michelle was an absolutely amazing tour guide, it was so personal and fun and she was super knowledgable. Honestly the best tour I’ve ever been on, we went to the most beautiful places and were so lucky to see so many butterflies and platypus. Thank you so much, will be recommending to anyone doing the east coast :)

Must do in Australia - Amazing region to explore with a lot of wildlife and nature that is different from the rest of Australia. Fantastic local guide that really knows the region and the inside stories. She took a lot of nice pictures, was a good driver and played good music in the car.

Eungella Platypus tour is well worth the stop on any east coast tour. It has been such a highlight and the team are so lovely! - We had an amazing experience end to end. We really appreciated the effort Amanda put in to collect us from our transport and drop us in Airlie. Michelle was an absolute legend, best tour guide we have had in Australia so far. Super knowledgeable about the area and really cared about our experience. She is also an excellent driver 😉.

Eungella platypus tour - Swimming in waterholes under waterfalls and seeing platypus in their natural habitats. Our guide Michelle welcomed everyone had great information and took plenty of photos lunch was yummy and we got to stop and see Felix the smiling bull on the way and a bat colony on return. A thoroughly enjoyable day! Would recommend highly.

Finch Hatton gorge, Eungella platypus tour! - A fantastic day with Michelle exploring . Great driving and had lots of info to share about all the places we visited. Even added a couple of extra surprise stops. Made everyone g feel welcome and was great knowing photos were being taken to share with us all. Would highly recommend this to anyone visiting Mackay that wants stress free, enjoyable and unique experiences!

Cancelled this day tour - I had booked this tour, it said: "Ages 0-100", but a week or so before the trip day I got a message that the trip includes "stairs and steep inclines and some small overwater parts" so it actually doesn't sound as if it's for people between 0-100 years of age. I cancelled but did have a feeling that this trip was already booked full for a group of backpackers who were also on the next day tour when we went to cape hillsborough.
