FANTASTIC TOUR!! - Incredible tour from start to finish! Captain Clint was very knowledgeable about all of the sea life and geography of the area… super personable and easy to talk to… we saw humpback whales, sea lions, seals, porpoises, wild sheep and rams, tons of seabirds, eagles, etc… It was simply incredible! The private tour was well worth the investment and made it very easy with our two small grandkids… thanks for an experience we will always remember!!

Small boats are the way to go! - While you have several options for companies that offer whale watching tours in the Anacortes area, there really is only one that stands out above the rest, and that is Blue Kingdom! I barely even hesitated to book the zodiac tour based on the many unforgettable experiences I've had while whale watching in Hawaii. Who wants to contend with 100 other people for a good spot on a giant boat? We had 7 people on our trip, which includes my daughter and I, and our captain, Tyler. He was outstanding too - informative, funny, someone who truly loves what they do and is eager to share that love with the guests he goes on the water with each day. Our tour started out a little slow, but Tyler knew that the T137s had been spotted shortly before we left the harbor, and he knew that they were still in the area. Low and behold, they were! Jack (T137A) was unmistakable with the two notches on his giant dorsal fin! Once we got back on the water after our stop at Friday Harbor, we headed out to where the T49As were last seen and got to watch little Charlie II (T49A5) swim on his back with his pectorals flapping back and forth above the water. It was adorable! We also got to see a good handful of sea lions, some harbor seals, tons of birds, and sweet little Dexter the sea otter! We spent about 5.5 hours on the water and traversed over 90 miles during our trip! Overall, if you're looking for a more intimate tour that will get you to the whales without having to fight over space or people getting in your pictures, then this is absolutely the tour and company for you!

The best tour in the area! - This tour was absolutely incredible! The crew was so friendly, knowledgeable, and went above and beyond to make sure we had the best experience possible. They provided everything—jackets, pants, hats, gloves, goggles, and even binoculars—so we were fully prepared and comfortable. We saw multiple orcas playing right near the boat! The crew knew all the best spots and made sure everyone got a great view of the action. We also spotted seals, porpoises, and even an otter! Truly a magical, once-in-a-lifetime experience. Highly recommend!

Willy is free - Great trip our tour was just about over and they got a call Orcas just north of us. We saw a big pod of 20 or so Orcas. It probably extended our trip an hour or so. Definitely one of the highlights of my trip to Washington. Thanks blue kingdom

Exciting whale watching experience - Although we arrived wearing layers of clothing, I was very impressed how Bluewater prepared us for this adventure…jacket, bib overalls, hats, gloves, goggles and even binoculars! The extra stops to see Bird Rock’s harbor seals and sea lions, as well as the other stops along the way, made the excursion even more exciting. Our guides were DETERMINED to see whales! Finally….in Canadian waters, there they were! Unfortunately my camera phone doesn’t really capture good pictures of these majestic mammals. However, I certainly appreciate Bluewater’s policy to stay 200 yards away, thereby keeping our oceanic friends safe and free to explore their waters freely! Fantastic experience! I would certainly recommend to any animal-loving person!!

We had a whale of a time! - The staff was exceptional. Knowledgeable about the local area, wildlife, islands and after some scouting found a pod of orcas for us to watch. Cold on the water but they have all the necessary gear to stay warm and even have binoculars to use on the trip. Really enjoyed it. Also the drive out is nice. Lower coastal farm areas and seaport sites.
