Nothing beats the experience of traversing through Holland’s countryside on a warm summer’s day. After a brief ferry commute and a leisurely bike ride through ‘noord’, we will arrive at the pastoral landscape. Soon, it will be just you, cows and signs from farmers offering home-made ice-cream and fresh milk.

Numerous scenic spots await you as we ride towards the Dutch Heritage site, the Zaanse Schans. Here you’ll discover free time to wander, visit some cheese and clog booths, or simply unwind. Our return journey takes us through Zaandam and its well-known Intelhotel, maximizing our time outdoors, away from Amsterdam.

Physical activity is required throughout the journey, although you don’t have to be an athlete. The availability of electric bikes will make the approximately 40km trip more enjoyable.

There are different bike sizes you can choose from on any tour. 2 Large, 5 medium, 5 small.

  • Phone number is for WHATSAPP only.

Ditch the tour bus, get on these e-bikes! - When in Amsterdam, ride a bike! We booked this tour because we didn’t want to be stuck in a tour bus on our way to Zaanse Schans - and OH, did we pick well! This was the perfect way to get out of the city and explore the surrounding area. The history we learned from our amazing guide, Gabriel, made us truly appreciate the investments in socially conscious infrastructure and the fortitude and capabilities of the Dutch people. Gabriel made us feel safe and comfortable on the bikes, but make sure you are confident on a bike before booking this tour. The roads are mostly flat and the pedal assist came in handy to ensure a relaxing journey. We recommend bringing a packed lunch to make the most of your time in Zaanse Schans, there will be several areas along the way to stop and refill your water bottles. We can’t recommend this tour highly enough!

Favorite tour - The tour was my favorite we’ve done this trip! Got to be outside seeing Amsterdam learning history and covering miles of different views. Tour guide was knowledgeable and helpful when anyone was unsure of the bike. First time on an e-bike and it was such an easy ride. Highly recommend!

Best time in Amsterdam - Kendra was a great guide - comedic and informative. The country side was picturesque. We saw windmills, goats, cows, and horses on our trip. The little town with its Dutch cafe was also wonderful. The e-bikes were powerful, in perfect condition, and all had comfy seats. We truly enjoyed our day.

A great way to see the countryside and windmills - Very good bikes. New and well maintained. Our trip was amazing. Gabriel, our guide, provides just the right amount of information about the area at each stop to make it interesting but not bore you. The area is rich in history and illustrates how the Amsterdam area evolved. Would highly recommend.

So much fun! - The e-bike tour out to the countryside was a great experience. Kendra was funny, knowledgeable and caring - she really looked after a couple of riders who found the first ten minutes riding the crowded streets of Amsterdam too much. If you haven’t ridden a bike for awhile and your balance isn’t great, the start and end of the tour can be a little daunting navigating the crowds but once you are on the ferry it’s smooth sailing and to ride through the meadows in May is sheer joy. It was obvious that Kendra had built up good relationships with some of the people at the stops. I loved that we got a little tour of the water windmill and got to pat the goats! The e-bike makes everything very easy. Book this tour - you won’t regret it!
