This was a delightful... - This was a delightful tour to see the inner workings of a windmill, and a demo of wooden shoes and Edam cheese. Sharon was very patient even though my hubby needed extra time for the walk.

Best tour from Amsterdam! - Fantastic experience from start to finish. Our guide Sharon was a true local and so bubbly and knowledgeable. By far the best tour we’ve done during our time in Amsterdam. Great value for money and awesome to see the windmills in action!

Great value for the money and absolutly worth doing trip! - Seriously, this tour was a total steal! The half-day trip was perfect, and we didn't feel rushed at all. Transportation was in a very comfortable minibus. But the absolute best part was our guide, Callum. He was the real deal, sharing a ton of fascinating facts all along the way. You could tell he was so passionate about it. The highlight, though? It started pouring rain, and we all got soaked. he managed to find us umbrellas quickly by running ahead to a store and bring those. Later, Callum just walked through it all in his wooden clogs like it was nothing! A guide who can do that is a legend. My family loved seeing the traditional windmills, cheese making, and clog making.

Great guide and tour - Beautiful place, and our guide Sharon was outstanding. Only downside was very busy, heightened by being a weekend. If possible go during the week. Overall, great tour.

Interesting tour. - Interesting tour of the windmill, cheese shop and the wooden shoe factory. Although we were supposed to return by 3pm, we actually returned by 2:35pm. We would have enjoyed a little more time in Zaans.

I would recommend the tour to some but may not be suited to others - Was a great tour although you could very easily do this yourself for alot cheaper and allow yourself more time. The tour guide was great, tasica I think her name was. She was informative, easy to understand and was helpful. The reason I say you'd be better doing this yourself is because the windmill area is open to public for free, an open area museum sort of thing with individual windmills being paid. We got entry to the paint mill which was around €17.50 each (included in cost), cheese tasting (free) and clogs workshop (free). The cost you pay is for the bus there and back plus the tour guide. It is great if you only have a few days there and just need to be in and out.
