• Max Euwe - Starting the tour on the Max Euwe Plein under the former Amsterdam prison
• Leiden Square (Leidseplein) - One of Amsterdam’s most famous squares in the heart of the old city centre.
• Prinsengracht - We will walk over Amsterdam’s longest canal for about 20 mins. We will see canal houses, bridges, numerous houseboats and a lot of people on bicycles.
• Johnny Jordaanplein / Beeld Johnny Jordaan - We will pass Johnny Jordaan square. The famous square of Amsterdam’s most famous folk singers.
• Westerkerk - Amsterdam’s most beautiful church in the city centre. The famous Westerkerk, a 17th century reformed church built for the rich people in the canal district. Rembrandt is buried over here.
• Statue of Anne Frank - Next to the Westerkerk there is a beautiful little statue of Anne Frank as a remembrance. We will have a short stop here.
• Anne Frank House - See the house where the Franks were hiding over 2 years and learn about the connections with the neighbourhood and how they survived over two years.

Each year, millions visit Amsterdam to explore the site where the Frank family hid from the Nazis. This guided tour retraces part of Anne’s path to her hiding place.

Participants will journey back to WWII-era Amsterdam, experiencing Anne’s feelings during the war’s dark days. Through her diary entries, they will gain insight into Anne’s life and the ‘secret annex.’

The tour concludes at a café, where guests can enjoy a drink and enter the Secret Annex through a virtual reality experience created by the Anne Frank Foundation. This VR experience allows entry through the bookcase into the hiding place, showcasing the furnished rooms as they appeared from 1942-44, unlike the actual house.

With no crowds, visitors can explore the virtual house at their own pace. This experience offers the closest approximation to the real thing without physically visiting the house, perfect for those unable to secure tickets or access to the Annex.
