Unique museums visit - Very unique museum. You can spend as much time there as you want. Each artwork is accompanied by an explanation of both the artist and the work. The space is very well used, unique location. There is a nice shop and cafe on location. We have not followed a tour, you can see it on your own.

Incredible - What a wonderful museum. The space is fantastic, and really allows the scale of the artworks to be highlighted. There is a very large variety of work on show- and most are absolutely amazing. The audio guide could be expanded, but each piece does have a description and you can learn more about each artist and their displayed work. I would say that the space could use more benches for those who need to sit and to increase accessability. It is very easy to spend several hours here happily looking at the works. I took a bus, and it was a very easy walk from the nearest bus stop. I am extremely glad I went.

Wonderful experience - So happy we visited. Took the free ferry from the train station across the water. The museum was colourful and bright with excellent diverse works of art. We were blown away by the talent of featured artists.

Superb Street Art at the Straat - If you are at all interested in street art, this is one museum/exhibit that you need to put on your agenda. Large scale works by international artists housed in a huge industrial warehouse space made for an outstanding experience.

Straat was INSANELY COOL. Don’t miss it - STRAAT Museum is hands down one of the coolest museums we’ve ever visited. As a family, we’re always on the lookout for unique experiences, and this place exceeded all expectations. It’s a vibrant, immersive celebration of street art that doesn’t just showcase pieces on the wall—it makes you feel like you’ve stepped inside the world of graffiti and urban expression.
Housed in a massive industrial warehouse, the museum’s sheer scale is impressive. Every wall, ceiling, and floor space is covered with jaw-dropping murals and installations, each piece telling its own story. The creativity on display is unreal, with everything from hyper-detailed realism to bold, abstract designs. The floating truck installation alone was worth the visit—it felt like a scene from an art-lover’s dream.
What made it even better was that both the adults along with the kids, were fully engaged the entire time. The open layout allowed them to roam freely while taking in the massive artworks. There were so many photo opportunities, and we loved how interactive the space felt. Unlike traditional museums, where you feel like you have to tiptoe around exhibits, STRAAT welcomes you to explore, get close, and truly experience the art.
The museum also does a great job of giving context to the pieces, showcasing works from both legendary and up-and-coming artists. If you appreciate street art, or even just enjoy visually stunning spaces, this is an absolute must-visit in Amsterdam. We left feeling inspired, and honestly, we could’ve spent even more time here.
Highly recommend to anyone looking for something different from the usual tourist spots. This place is next-level creativity at its finest!

Detailed and interesting tour. - Denisa was passionate and very knowledgeable on the subject of graffiti and street art . We only looked at a handful of the 160+ images on display but each one had so much social and artistic history this was not an issue an the hour flew by .
Highly recommended . A side of Amsterdam off the usual tourist trail .

Beautiful collection of street art - The museum is good, with beautiful works. Despite everything for us in January it was relatively cold inside because it is a huge shed not possible to heat.
The hanging of the works sometimes makes their assessments complicated, several too close to one another, or hung too high, or even large with little perspective.
Still, it is a beautiful place, with paintings worth seeing, and you won’t be disappointed with the visit.
