Very informative - I found the Red Light Secrets museum in Amsterdam to be incredibly educational and enlightening. The recreated rooms and personal stories of sex workers really brought the realities of the profession to life. It was especially impactful to learn about the challenges they face and the importance of fair treatment. I also appreciated the section that compared sex work portrayals in media to the true experiences of sex workers. The exhibit I found most interesting was the bedroom. Seeing the items that would be in a room, how small it was, and how differently it felt from how sex work is often portrayed in media, really drove home the realism for me. This small detail made a big difference. I left the museum feeling more empathetic towards sex workers. It is easy to dismiss what they do for a living. Knowing that some of these women are victims of sex trafficking is disheartening. The Netherlands is doing their best to crack down on sex trafficking but there is always a way to slip through the cracks. This added a layer of complexity to the issue that I hadn't considered before.

Alright - Very good museum (and low price for the norm in Amsterdam). The introduction to prostitution seemed to me to be described too rosily, forgetting the violence and constraint often experienced in this profession. But over the course of the visit these elements are stated and allow us to understand the rest with more honesty. I recommend this museum even if I think that a big dark side is hidden.

Very interesting experience - The space is super tight, but it’s super interesting and well presented. The audio guide is superb. It manages to be informative, entertaining and sobering at the same time – definitely worth a visit.

Worth a visit to better understand the RLD - Provides a genuine history and facts about prostitution in the Netherlands. Narrated by a prostitute. She tells her experiences. A few tight spaces, but the flow went nicely. Exiting the museum gives you a different perspective of the profession around you.

Very bad museum! Do not go there! - It's horrible, so simple. Very small. And you don't learn anything from it. We had chosen a Dutch audio guide, but we had to listen to an irritating Russian accent. I had booked a timeslot, so we could just stand in line for half an hour!!! It was also far too busy, you were pushed forward like herd of cattle... The information panels looked like they were put together by toddlers. Very unprofessional and very amateurish... The staff was also unfriendly and uninterested, they don't like doing their job exactly... we were out of there within 20 minutes, it really doesn't make sense I sent a complaint via email, still no response. Don't go in here! Tourist trap!

Must miss - I would like to give 0 stars. This is a complete waste of time and money. Skip this one for sure. This is not an authentic museum, but a tour with a recoded sex worker with a fake ridiculous Russian accent. The audio guided tour is an insult to actual sex workers. You will learn nothing!!!

It's not worth the shot - Expensive for the price. Quick visit. Average audio guide. 5 rooms to visit in 20 minutes. Do not recommend. I think there are much better things to do in Amsterdam
