Amazing tour with beautiful views and super nice skipper & host! - 12 out of 10 An evening boat tour is a definite must for an Amsterdam Trip. After 3 visits (and as many boat tours) we finally booked an evening tour and it was the best!

Just great! - A great experience to end a beautiful day in Amsterdam. You tour guides were just great! We learned a lot about the city! The perspective from the water is always very special!

The better alternative for a "standard" canal cruise. - Had a blast! Very luxurious boat with loads of good food and drinks. Amazing views of the inner city canals at sunset. highy recommend this over the regular touristy canal cruises.

Team Canal Cruise - Despite the rain, we had a super fun team dinner complete with drinks and a tour of the city at night! Thanks to Carlos, Vlad, Dennis the chef and the others who were on board and made our trip memorable! Would highly recommend the big boat for a team outing when in Amsterdam!

Boat not as pictured or described would not recommend - The boat was not as pictured or described. It was not an open boat, rather had a roof which greatly limited visibility. I selected the trip based on the images and description so was very disappointed with what was provided. Would not recommend if you are after an open boat.

Waited over 30 minutes, Boat didn't how, Starboard refuses to refund our money. - I was recently invited to join a group of friends on a canal tour with Starboard Boats. It was arranged and paid for by 2 people in our group, who were required to pay for the service in full up front. We were given instructions on where to meet, we arrived 10 minutes early, however the boat captain didn't show. We called Starboard a few times, and when we were finally able to reach someone, we were told they were having mechanical issues. They asked that we wait, however at that point, we'd already been waiting over 1/2 an hour. Just as we were walking away to catch a cab, someone from Starboard showed up. We had dinner reservations, so the delayed start was not going to work. Our group was then told we were not entitled to a refund for the service, simply because a Starboard employee showed up (even if it was over 1/2 an hour later than agreed). Starboard claimed they attempted to contact us about the mechanical problems, however they reached out to the organizer who had already informed them he'd had an accident (broken leg) and was being flown back to the US for surgery. They had the 2nd organizer's contact information but did not try to reach her. Since we were all standing together, our group would've witnessed any incoming calls to her cell. I'm sure the canal cruise would have been lovely; they have many good reviews. But we followed the terms of service we agreed to, and Starboard did not. Had the situation been reversed and we showed up over 30 minutes late, they would have kept our fee and rightfully refused service. But seeing as we held up our end of the agreement, we feel a full refund is due. Since Starboard feels differently, our only recourse is a charge back on the credit card and to leave a negative review. As a travel industry professional myself, I don't take that stance lightly. It's a shame because it didn't have to be like this.
