Highlights
  • Muntplein 12 - While enjoying a nice cup of coffee, tea or lemonade you will get a brief introduction about the history of Delft blue pottery. After the instructions you will quickly get to work with your own tile. There will always be a professional painter who will give you the right tips for a good result.

When the tile is ready, we will continue to glaze it and fire it. This is also the reason that you can pick up the tile about 14 days later at one of our branches in Delft, Amsterdam or Putten. Of course we can also send the tiles (for a small fee).

We give workshops to small groups of 2 to 15 people. If you want to follow a workshop on a different day or time, please contact us. We are happy to discuss the options with you.

Unique experience in Amsterdam! - This was such a fun and unique experience for the classic Delft Pottery of Amsterdam. Small setting and the teacher showed us the steps and process between hand painting and factory made. What’s interesting is it doesn’t turn blue till it’s fired. A must do for a quiet afternoon.

U.S. Ceramacist & husband loved the Delft tile painting experience! - We participated in the "paint your own Delft tile" class. I am a ceramicist in the U.S. and wanted to learn more about the centuries old technique of painting with Delft Blauw. Taking the class was very rewarding and we had a joyful time speaking with the instructor. We can't wait to receive the fired tiles in the mail.

A very nice creative experience - Together with my girlfriend we did the workshop in Delft. It was a beautiful experience. It's really nice that you can practice on a practice tile first. Then for the ultrasound. Clear instructional videos that you can replay as needed. Good length of the videos; no time is wasted because you have to watch so much. Clear and digestible information. You don't have to be a professional painter to get a nice result. And it is precisely because of the different levels that you really get your own unique tile. If you want to take a break between painting, there is plenty to see in the store. We are very curious about the end result; that's the only thing; You will have to be patient before you can show the end result at home. But that also makes it exciting.

GREAT experience and souvenir to take home - Amazing historic location and such a fun workshop painting your own blue-white Dutch tile. Highly recommend since it is a fun experience and a GREAT souvenir. No worries if you are not that creative, since the workshop starts with easy to follow introductions and you get loads of tips + are able to choose from a range of templates. I had a lot of fun!

Favorite experience of entire trip! - Such a fun class! We were a group of three and were the only ones in our class so it was like a private experience! Beautiful shop below with a classroom upstairs. We had a wonderful teacher and really enjoyed the videos to watch that let us watch the proper technique. Can’t wait for our tiles to be glazed and then sent to the USA in 3-4 weeks!
