Another theory is that the Prinsengracht canal was once nicknamed Jordaan (the Dutch name for the river Jordan), and that the neighbourhood beyond the canal came to be called this as well. Revel in the stunning sights of Amsterdam while savoring a beverage, as each of our boats boasts a bar where drinks can be purchased. During the cruise, our crew will entertain you with tales of Amsterdam’s past and fascinating insights about the landmarks you pass by.
In the warm, dry summer months, our premium open boats serve as the venue for the tour. However, if the weather is less than ideal, we will gladly conduct the tour on one of our cozy and handsome saloon boats.
We encourage you to reserve your place on the boat ahead of time by booking your tickets online, to guarantee your participation in this experience.
- It is colder on the water, please bring warm clothing and don’t get surprised by the chilly Dutch weather
- Our stewards in the bright orange shirts are there to inform and help you.
- A fairly big step has to be made into the boat. Our stewards will assist you with this.
- When a lot of rain is predicted and/or the weather is colder than expected, the boat will be covered.
- If you are unhappy with your experience, please let us know directly or come by the office at Leliegracht 50D (around the corner of the Anne Frank House).
- No bachelor / birthday party groups allowed, please call us for a private boat option.
- Tour available for free for infants (0-2 years old).
- Please be aware that the points of interest on the route may slightly vary depending on the departure point chosen

Anne Frank Canal Cruise - Very enjoyable and informative Cruise with very friendly guides Mariana & Jul and a very capable Captain Sammy. We would certainly recommend this trip. The Cheese & wine was an added bonus. Both were very nice and appreciated.

It was a disappointment - The experience wasn’t as strong as I expected, given the great reviews. The boat was difficult to enter (no gangway, so you have to be able to comfortably step over the railing which is knee-high on a 6-foot tall person). So one of our party couldn’t join us at the last minute, so that was disappointing. The day we did our cruise was cold, and there were no blankets for passengers to use (though the marketing materials say there will be blankets) and no hot drinks. The employees were pleasant, but the disappointment of one of our party not being able to come and then the rest of us being colder than we expected both significantly distracted from the experience. It was a disappointment.

Disgusting service and treatment - If you want a boat cruise/tour which shows up on time, friendly and honest staff and to not be lied to then DO NOT book with this company. We wasted around an hour being told to come back, our boat isn’t arriving, we’re in the wrong pick up point and that our booking had to be changed. The frustration was unbelievable. How staff can be so dishonest and quite frankly uneducated is beyond me. My friends and myself had this to look forward too, booked well in advance and was let down and lied to on numerous occasions. I’m still waiting for the refund which we was promised. If you wish to take the risk and book with them, I hope you have a better experience than we did.
