- Canal Ring (Grachtengordel) - The Grachtengordel, or Canal District, is a neighborhood in Amsterdam, Netherlands, situated in the Centrum district. The 17th-century canals in the heart of Amsterdam were added to the UNESCO World Heritage List in August 2010. The Amsterdam Canal District encompasses the area around the city’s four main canals: the Singel, Herengracht, Keizersgracht, and Prinsengracht. Starting from the Brouwersgracht, the canals run parallel, gradually leading southeast into the Amstel River.
Many canal houses in the Amsterdam Canal District date back to the Dutch Golden Age, the 17th century. However, numerous buildings have undergone restoration or reconstruction over the centuries, showcasing a variety of architectural styles and facades.

The high nave is flanked by two lower aisles. This three-aisled basilica features a rectangular plan with two transepts of equal size, forming two Greek crosses connected together.
