Tour with a lot of smiles - A relaxed, enjoyable ride on the canals of Amsterdam with lots of helpful and humorous commentary from Captain Ricky. We saw "dancing houses", a hotel that received its first guests in 1867, a science museum, a maritime museum and much more...

All aboard for a delightful experience - Had a great experience on this tour around the beautiful canals of Amsterdam. Lead by our captain and guide, Ricky Frans. He was very engaging with all of the passengers, and knowledgeable about the sights. We were lucky that we had beautiful weather. However, the boat was covered and so it would have been fine even if it had been raining. Would definitely recommend this tour, and especially Ricky

Great experience - The only minus was the construction of the boat's windows which made taking pictures difficult. Other than that it was strictly 5-star.

Wonderful. Upheated boat and really fun captain. - The stories from the captain were fun and the indormations veru helpful. It was perfect that the boat had closed windows and was hot since it was a Einey day.

Audio guide was difficult... - Audio guide was difficult to hear over the noise of the boat and didn’t show a lot of main sights. Connecting the audio to phone didn’t work

Dangerous experience - It is very unfortunate that I have to leave this review. I took the canal cruise in the late afternoon today on my second day in Amsterdam. The tour itself was fine however, the female skipper kept making reference to a storm that was brewing, and that the extra traffic in the water was making our trip lengthier. I kept watching my weather app and fearing we wouldn’t return to the dock in time to avoid the storm. I was right. As we disembarked, the skipper said to watch out as there are likely things blowing about in the wind, but that we could get ponchos to put on. As I made it to the top of the stairs, I turned to the right to go to the office kiosk to get the ponchos. The office was locked tight. The wind was extremely strong, and the rain was very heavy. I was petrified. A few of us crossed the street quickly by running and were waved in by a team member from Amsterdam experience. Just as I got to the entrance to the store I slipped and fell backwards and hit my head on someone’s bicycle. My injuries were minor, but imagine you’re in a foreign place and you have to return to your hotel and ask for ice. This company was under no obligation to help us, but the kind thing to do if the office was closed, would have been to let us stay in the boat until the weather cleared slightly. Please take note that this company will not go the extra mile for you, even if it involves safety.

HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE - Six of us in our group. First Boat reeked from stench of bathroom which smelled like it hadn’t been cleaned in a year. We said somethingMy to the girl taking tickets and she encouraged us to take the next boat leaving in 30 minutes so we could get seats away from the bathroom. We gladly agreed. we were the first people to board the second boat and all six took seats facing forward at tables. The captain came on and asked one couple to move because “other people might want to face forward.” We declined, telling her we paid for the seats we were in and had every right to face forward. She replied that since we were a group we should be happy to sit facing together. “You sit facing your friends in a restaurant, don’t you?” Not the same thing. We were on a canal cruise . We reiterated that we paid for the seats we were in and weren’t moving. To which she replied, “It’s just basic logic that you would move and sit facing each other.” Other patrons around us were shaking their heads in disbelief at her rudeness. She then told us the boat wouldn’t move until one of us did. One couple agreed to move. Shortly after the boat left the dock a family decided to move toward the back where the top was open so our friends moved into those seats, allowing them to face forward. A totally unnecessary terse interaction with the rude captain who seemed to be on some sort of power trip. Smelly boat was bad enough but her attitude was even worse. Be forewarned. Not a great company. There have to be much better options.
