Excellent Tours in Amritsar with a Knowledgeable and Trustworthy Guide - I booked three tours with Walk and Explore in Amritsar: the Golden Temple and Jallianwala Bagh tour, the Amritsar Food Tour, and the Back in Time Heritage Walk. Prarit led all three, and the consistency across the experience was excellent. Each tour was well organised, clearly scheduled, and paced sensibly. Prarit was friendly from the outset and immediately put me at ease. He took time to understand what I wanted from the tours rather than relying on a generic script. As a street photographer interested in documentary-style work, I appreciated the effort he made across all three tours to show me the real city: backstage areas of the langar, vantage points for interesting photographs, quieter corners, and everyday scenes that most visitors would miss. The food tour was a standout. It gave me a clear sense of where it was safe to eat and what dishes genuinely represent Amritsar rather than tourist standards. We visited places I would never have tried on my own, and the explanations behind each stop added context rather than just being a list of foods. The Back in Time heritage walk was equally strong. It gave me a much better understanding of the older parts of the city, the layers of history, and the mix of Indian and European architectural influences. Prarit pointed out small but significant details I would have walked past without noticing. Across all tours, communication with Walk and Explore was straightforward. Everything was arranged via WhatsApp, guides were confirmed in advance, and there were no unwanted shop stops or pressures to buy anything. It was respectful, informative, and flexible. I was able to ask a wide range of questions and always got clear, knowledgeable answers. The tours ended on a warm note, and it genuinely felt like a meaningful introduction to Amritsar rather than a transaction. I highly recommend Walk and Explore. All three tours were excellent, and Prarit delivered a reliable, insightful, and enjoyable experience throughout.

Golden Temple and Jallianwala Bagh Guided Tour - We had a wonderful experience touring the Golden Temple in Amritsar with Walk and Explore. Parit was an excellent tour guide. He showed us where the Jallianwala Bagh massacre occurred. And how the langar is prepared. It was an amazing experience. He was very knowledge and answered all questions and queries.

A most fabulous tour that everyone visited Amritsar should take. - This tour was amazing . Prarit immediately called us after the booking was done. We were told where to meet. On that day my husband and I got lucky with a private tour expecting a group tour. He is very knowledgeable about Amritsar. We had an amazing time and got to learn a lot about Jallianwala Bagh and Sikhism . Toured the kitchens and langar area of the golden temple. The 21/2 hours just flew since it was a very interesting and we got to learn a lot about the architecture and history . He went out of his way to suggest a few places to eat and visit.

Must Recommended Golden Temple Guided Tour - I had an incredible experience with the Walk and Explore Golden Temple guided tour! The guide was extremely knowledgeable and passionate about the history and significance of the Golden Temple. They provided insightful details about the temple’s architecture, culture, and the spiritual practices associated with it. Amazing highlights of the Golden Temple - Great history of the area in and around the Golden Temple. Deepak was very attentive and knowledgeable and the experience was amazing. The tour of the kitchen was an eye opener and the sanctity of the Temple is beautiful.

Great tour of Amritsar highlights - I enjoyed the tour, Hardik gave a good snippet history on the massacre in 1919, the Golden Temple and the rise of Sikhism. We visited the Langar (community kitchen) and Jallianwala Bagh- memorial that marks Amritsar massacre in 1919. Helpful having a guide as would be a bit tricky navigating on your own.
