Friendly and informative. - Our friendly, helpful and informative guide Amrit showed us to some good local places to eat, we really enjoyed the lassi and the Indian rice pudding. We were also shown places we would not have noticed if we were on our own. Amrit also explained a lot about his Sikh culture and history.

A true taste of Amritsar - Such a great experience on this food tour. Ram was the perfect host, incredibly knowledgeable and enthusiastic about the food of his home city. So much food and each stop was as good as the last. Couldn’t recommend more!

Yummy adventuring - What a great way to spend an evening. Ram is an excellent guide. His knowledge about Punjabi foods/dishes and the city along with his eagerness to share that knowledge was a joy and so much appreciated.....and thank goodness for the "hidden gems" of the city. I would never have discovered them on my own and the short walks between the tastings helped make more room for more food

Really Nice food tour experience in Amritsar! - Lovely food tour which included a walk around the small streets of Amritsar, local markets and side streets. The food was really good from famous Amritsar places, mouth watering Kulcha, amazing Chole Bhature, lassie, and there was a sugar snack thing that was a bit too sweet for me! The only recommendation for improvement I would give is that the 2 savory dishes were very similar, Kulcha and Chole Bhature, both bread based with similar sides (chickpeas and chutneys) maybe some variety like a curry or a saag for example would be good. Thanks Ram for a lovely tour!

Really fun food and heritage tour! - Ram was an exceptional tour guide. The walking tour he led me on was packed with both tasty food and knowledge/history about Amritsar. As a city planner and food buff this was a really great way to combine both of my interests. The kulchas! The cholle! The lassi! All very phenomenal treats native to Punjab. We also stopped by for some the best rice pudding I've ever had! The old city near the golden temple has many wonderful establishments and a rich history that you get to explore during the two hour walking tour. I highly recommend taking this tour, esp w Ram!

Amazing! Not to be missed - Had my 4 AM Golden Temple tour with Ram today and it was the bestest start I could have to the day and to Amritsar. The tour which was supposed to be for 3 hours went on for 4.5 hours thanks to all the questions I had and Ram patiently answering all of them. It was an eye opening experience to learn so much more about Sikhism and the Sikh history and I am forever grateful for the experience.

Unforgettable visit to Amritsar! - What a fantastic way to visit Amritsar! Amrit was such a fantastic guide and friend over the 2 days we spent with him. He has a wealth of knowledge over Amritsar and shared with us many interesting stories about the city, it's history, as well as Sikhism and it's importance to the city. Booking through Karan was also seamless! My wife and I truly loved our stay in Amritsar, which became our favourite city in India, and Amrit's company definitely played a big role in this! Having backstage access to the Golden Temple, visiting Amrit's Punjab village and the crazy Wagah border ceremony are unforgettable memories that I'll definitely hold dear to. Do definitely go with Planet Amritsar when you're in town!
