After a short tour of the chateau, followed by a tasting of our wines, head to the blending workshop. like our cuvée Symbiose, born from the blending of different vintages, we will guide you in the creation of your own wine. You will discover the secrets of blending to create your own nectar and then take home your personalized bottle as a souvenir. An original, fin and educational wine activity !

Craft your unique wine and take it home with you! Following a brief exploration of the castle, accompanied by a wine sampling session, proceed to our blending studio. Similar to our Symbiose blend, which originates from a combination of various vintages, we will assist you in producing your distinct wine. Learn the art of blending to concoct your exclusive nectar and thereafter carry your custom-made bottle back home as a memory. A unique, enjoyable, and enlightening wine experience!

Blending is a blast! - We had a wonderful time at Chateau Saint-Barbe with Solène. She was an excellent guide and showed us the around the property before bringing us to our tasting. We learned a lot about wine and had a complete blast blending and bottling our own! The tour is great for the value.
We took the bus from Bordeaux--it was straightforward and the bus drops you off very close to the Chateau. Solène accommodated our bus schedule, allowing us to start and end early.

Amazing experience! - It was an excellent experience. Solne was very friendly and knowledgeable. We were the only attendants on that day and she gave us a very interesting tour of the vineyards and the chateau. Afterwards we enjoyed a lot the experience of the blending workshop and came back home with a bottle of our own blended wine. Definitely recommended!

Much better than a standard wine tasting - This was so much fun and way more interesting than a wine tasting. We tasted 5 different wines, were given enough wine to create a blend that each of us liked and then created our very own blended bottle of wine!! How many tastings do you go to where you can take a bottle home with you? And you know you like it because you created it!! We came up with our own wine label and corked it after adding our blend into a bottle. Highly recommend!!
Only downside, you have to get yourself out to the winery, which is 40min outside of Bordeaux.

Hands on experience blending Merlot. - It was a great experience. We were the only visitors that day and we had all their attention. We blended 6 different Merlot wines all from the vineyard but different years spanning 11 years. It was great to learn what happens when the wine matures how the color changes, how the tannins change and new flavors develop as the wine matures. It was one of the more memorable things we did in Bordeaux.
