Highlights
  • Amargosa Valley - Area 51 Alien Center: make a stop at the quirkiest alien and UFO inspired gift shop near Las Vegas!
  • Rhyolite - See Rhyolite Ghost town that was so prominent in its rise in 1904 that instead of wooden construction for the buildings in town they used concrete which has left behind a spooky skeleton of an early 20th century gold rush!

Also see art exhibits of the Goldwell Open Air Museum.

  • Death Valley National Park - Enter through Hells Gate where we stop and view the largest national park in the lower 48 states of the United States.
  • Mesquite Flat Sand Dunes - Take a few minutes to wander the collection of wind erosion culminating in huge sand dunes in the middle of Death Valley. Also the site of famous science fiction Hollywood cinema filming.
  • Burned Wagons Point - Have Lunch at the Toll Road Restaurant and see the famous Burned Wagons Point Memorial.
  • Furnace Creek Visitor Center - The famous Death Valley thermometer awaits outside the visitor center. Inside you can see the following: topographical map of the entire area, history of the region, view examples of wildlife, and much more!

Souvenirs, gifts, and restrooms also available here.

  • Badwater - Beautiful scenic drive through the valley to Badwater Basin to walk on the lowest elevation in North America. The air is more dense and the water on site is not drinkable, hence the name!
  • Artists Palette - View or even walk on the volcanic exposition of colors, hills and canyons.
  • Zabriskie Point - Christian Zabriskie’s name from Borax mining fame adorns this spectacular vista showcasing natures erosive abilities. Hiking trails all around and famous Hollywood filming locations too.
  • Dante’s View - See the highest paved viewpoint in Death Valley with views across that are further and deeper than Grand Canyon West and rivaling Grand Canyon National Park’s widest point.

Sometimes we will substitute another higher location when weather and conditions permit.

Blown Away - What a trip! Brian is a fantastic tour guide, dedicated and well versed. Covered a ton of ground in Death Valley as well as an ‘audible’ detour to see parts of the Sierra Nevada. Saw lots of scenery and plants/fauna, and again Brian was very informative about what we saw and gave interesting history lessons. Will say that it is a long tour; not in a bad way, but don’t take it if you are expecting a simple stroll, but rather if your want to experience the park and see what it has to offer, take this tour. Can’t recommend enough, and will definitely be coming back,

It's worth it, but I would have liked it to be better structured so as not to depend on travel companions - It seems to me that it is very worth booking this tour. I tried to educate myself before, and it seems like everyone struggles with finding their way to attractions, gas, heat, etc. It is worth having everything arranged with someone who knows the way very well. Also, I had a very small group, which could be a positive thing, but in my case I think it worked against me, since the people in my group were very quick to visit each stop so it was uncomfortable that they had to wait for me every time. , but I would have liked to spend more time at each stop. The guide knows each place perfectly, however when we went down to the attractions he did not go with us so it is a bit of a discretion as to how long it takes to explore. I went in mid-May and the heat was already too much, so I recommend going as lightly dressed as possible (I tried to consult with the guide but he didn't dare to give me an answer) I looked for the estimated return time and couldn't find it anywhere. Although they say it is variable, I was back to the Strip at 3:30 pm, I want to think that thanks to my group with fleeting visits, but maybe someone will find the information useful. Also, don't expect to sleep on the way, the guide is very energetic and there is not much silence on the way...

Great Experience, for sure! - The tour does a great job at getting to every spot, getting you back to Vegas timely, yet never feeling rushed. Our guide was Jason. He was a cool jokester who knows his facts about the sites along the way, and the Death Valley attractions. Seeing Death Valley and the salt flats was an amazing experience! This was a relaxing way to do it. Not worrying about paying entry or reserving parking, just sit back and let Mohave Wave handle it for you.

A day tour that convinces from A to Z - Impressive day tour with Mojave Wave LLC to Death Valley. What was advertised as a 12-hour tour quickly became an 18-hour tour because the guide spontaneously asked us if we wanted to extend the day tour and also include the Alabama Hills in the Sierra Nevada. There was no extra charge for this. This shows the passion with which Mojave Wave LLC operates. One of the most beautiful day tours I have ever done!!!

Awesome day in Death Valley! - Our guide, Jason, is an awesome person. He really cared about making this adventure an unforgettable moment for us. He adapted the tour to make sure that we were going to see all the things that we didn't want to miss. I felt safe with him. He's funny and know a lot of things about the park, the area and the wildlife living there. We saw a desert turtle, a coyote, donkeys... The park is really worth it, the views are breathtaking and you'll discover a lot of different landscapes: dunes, salt flats, badlands...There's a lot of flowers too. I recommend to visit the park with Mojave wave.

Amazing Tour !! - Amazing tour of Death Valley with our guide Brian. He was very knowledgeable and passionate of the area, he even went out of his way to take us to other parts that weren’t included in the tour. The small tour makes it a comfortable and personal trip. 10/10 would recommend doing!

An Unforgettable Experience! - Exceptional tour experience! Brian gave us a well-rounded visit to Death Valley and the area sites. His intimate knowledge and love of the region kept all of us in the group involved and engaged from the moment we climbed onto the van until we arrived back to our hotels. The pace was well thought out and planned from pick-up to drop-off. There were adequate stops along the way, making this an easy tour for just about any age. All along the way, our comfort was ensured, pace and questions were answered thoroughly. The pacing allowed all of us to see and experience the area as each person chose. This tour is suitable for all ages and activity levels. Have a new appreciation of the history and diversity surrounding one of our very special national treasures.
