Embark on a journey to one of the pioneer residences of Australia, comfortably situated within a verdant park just a 15-minute drive from Melbourne. The homestead is renowned for its eerie presence and has been a hub for supernatural research. While the Langhorne family has long passed away, their intriguing past and the numerous life events associated with the house explain the flurry of movements within the Homestead. Guided tours are available on the first Saturday of each month.
- Minimum age of children attending 8 years and must be accompanied by a supervising adult ticket holder.
- Tours will commence in wet weather, if severe weather occurs tour will be re-scheduled.
- It is recommended you wear flat comfortable shoes for walking

Altona ghost tour is entertaining - This Altona Homestead ghost tour, with bright lanterns, is very entertaining. Altona Homestead was built in 1842, a pioneering property that has since served many useful purposes. Altona is an outer suburb. The bluestone residence has much to see at night. The homestead is near Port Philip Bay, almost on the waterfront. These days, it is the headquarters of the Altona Laverton Historical Society. Altona Homestead is 20 km (12 km) from the Melbourne CBD by car. By the way, a fee is charged, you can book on-line. It's popular with younger visitors.

Awesome. - We did the investigation last night and it was great. Because off smaller numbers we got plenty of time in all the rooms using all the varied equipment. I’ve done plenty of ghost tours before but not investigations and will definitely be doing more in the future. Would go again and totally recommend this.

Awesome. - We did the investigation last night and it was great. Because of fewer people we got plenty of time in all the rooms using an array of equipment. I’ve done lots of ghost tours before but this was my first investigation and we will definitely be doing more.
