They were cozy, impeccably clean, and thoughtfully restocked with treats each day. The kids were thrilled with the upgraded play areas, which provided endless entertainment.

Breakfast at the Crooked Spoon was a daily highlight. The staff catered to our dietary preferences with ease, offering vegetarian sausages and a variety of milk alternatives. The buffet was consistently well-stocked and maintained, ensuring a pleasant start to our days. Dining at Flambo Jambos and the Secret Garden restaurant was equally enjoyable, with a wide range of vegetarian options and a welcoming atmosphere for families. The bar area at the Alton Towers hotel was a pleasant surprise, offering a casual dining option with pizza and chips that we plan to try on our next visit.

Thrills and Accessibility

The rides at Alton Towers are legendary, and our experience was no exception. Despite some weather-related closures, the staff managed the situation efficiently, minimizing wait times. The new access pass system was a revelation for us. It allowed our daughter to enjoy the park without the stress of standing in long queues. Instead, she could explore areas like Mr. Tumble’s Sensory Garden while waiting her turn. This thoughtful approach to accessibility is commendable and made our visit much more enjoyable.

The Bluey ride was a standout, with its engaging queue area keeping the kids entertained. However, the volume could be toned down a bit to avoid overshadowing nearby attractions. Hex, a ride I had never experienced before, was a marvel of creativity and engineering. Its unique concept left a lasting impression, and we’re already planning a visit to the Chained Oak next year to delve deeper into its story.

Culinary Delights and Future Plans

Our culinary journey at Alton Towers was a feast for the senses. Flambo Jambos offered a vibrant array of vegetarian dishes, and the child-friendly atmosphere made dining a pleasure. The Secret Garden restaurant was a new discovery for us, and it did not disappoint. The staff’s attentiveness and the quality of the food were exceptional.

While we didn’t explore David Walliams Land this time, we’re hopeful for new developments in the future. The prospect of a Minecraft-themed area is exciting, and we hope Alton Towers will consider it. The park’s lost and found system also deserves praise for its efficiency, as we were assured that a misplaced item would be returned to us by post.
