Fantastic Family Break with Amazing Value! - Good stay with a great deal on Merlin passes. The kids loved the play areas outside the lodges and we all had a fantastic day at the theme park. The lodge was comfortable and the whole experience was enjoyable and good value for money. Would definitely stay again!

Excellent Stay - Just returned from a 1 night stay in the Cbeebies Land Hotel with 2 days in the park as annual pass holders. I have to say our stay was nothing short of exceptional. Upon arrival we were thrilled at the theming of the hotel and the minute you walk in, a huge warm welcome. Having visited Legoland and Chessington before I sort of knew what to expect from this place but the park defied our expectations. It's huge! It's also well split into lands/zones. Cbeebies Land was a hit and we could have done a whole day in there alone. Sadly on arrival the local area was victim to a power cut meaning the park was operating at a very reduced capacity but there were enough shows and things to do while we waited. And to be fair it was back up quick enough to have two rides on the Bluey Coaster! Queues at these places will always be ridiculous. I do think sometimes the staff are particularly slow, especially the Octonauts ride and queue times advertised are always wildly different but we managed to get on everything we wanted and had a chance to do rides more than once. At the hotel, the restaurant is over priced. Beth, our server was fantastic and the food was fine. Just no need for such high prices. The hotel entertainment was excellent. On the second park day we visited the lunchbox in Cbeebies land and I wished we hadn't. It was so disappointing. Food was awful, service was awful and it was generally depressing. Next time I'll stick to a hot dog stand. I was thrilled to be given express parking after our stay at the hotel (an unexpected treat) In terms of cost, it is expensive. As gold pass holders this softened the blow and I think if I'd have paid full price at the restaurants I'd have been annoyed. But we've come to expect high prices here. Overall, we had an amazing time and its made us want to book again. Its such a shame the park is 3 hours away for us.

We had a great time!🎉 - The hotel is very cosy and comfortable. It was our refuge in the midst of the heatwave!! The rides were fun and enjoyable!! The male supervisor (Apologies for forgetting your name) has gone over and above what is expected of him. He helped us set up the wifi for the kids' Yoto player which meant that they sleep through the night with the white noise on! Us parents, had a good rest sleep too!! Flambo Jambo's is the best!! The food is great!! The waterpark was a bonus, we had a great great time!! But the bestest part of it was meeting Duggee and Bluey which made our daughter's birthday extra special! Thank you Alton Towers!🙏🏼🎉

Best park in the UK - 5 out of 5. By far the best theme park in the UK, and certainly gives DLP a run for its money. All attractions were up and running and the staff are genuinely care about their job. Food is really good for a theme park and it’s good value if you have Merlin passes. We have been to loads of theme parks globally and we have all commented on how great the experience is

Best time! - Had the best two days in an Alton Towers with a 10 year old and 6 year old. Stayed in the splash landing hotel for two nights and after two exhausting days it was worth it. We ate in the flambo jambo restaurant. The buffet had lots of options, some were amazing (Korean chicken) others were not. Everything you expect from a buffet but the kids loved it as they got to dabble. It wasn’t hot but hey ho. The only criticism of the entire trip was that a teenager knocked a serving spoon on the floor. The teenager took the serving spoon and put it back in the rice. Ok, teenagers be silly. We told a waiter who alerted the chef. The chef went and got a new serving spoon and swapped it out. 🤦🏼‍♀️ Between 3 people no one could work out this still wasn’t right.

Love this park but it has its flaws - 2 very hot days (31 degrees). After spending 2 days walking around this massive park in sweltering heat I then traveled to Thorpe Park... First think I noticed was the water fountain within Hyperias queue line. This should be incorporated into all queue lines for days like those. It really didn't help that the sky ride was out of action (again). Rita broke down (again!) and wasn't open for either of the 2 days. I feel that if a coaster is out of action for the majority of the day then maybe a free fast track for any ride should be given out. Then we stayed in the stargazing pod. Because of the heat, the pods were horrid to stay in. This isn't obviously the fault of the park, however a couple of days later staying in the shark cabins was bliss, with it's air conditioning. Overall a good 2 days but a few things that could be made better, made obvious by the weather. But of course I'll be back... Many, many times

Mediocre - Stayed in woodland lodge and no aircon and one tiny window. Staff at reception told me they had aircon but they don’t. I wasn’t told where breakfast was and wasn’t told we needed to book. I was happy to take a table outside. Fully appreciate it was v hot but staff really not that great in terms of attitude estate the bar and grill. Room for improvement

Kids enjoyed it but could be much better. - Arrived at 11am to find 4 rides not open. Rita was closed all day. Galactica closed whilst we were in the queue, same for Nemesis and smiler. Although we managed to revisit nemesis later in the day. The drink refills had no ice and were Luke warm. Not ideal on the hottest days of the year so far. Booked dinner at the Alton Hotel. Food overall was good. My complaint is I ordered a ribeye stake and got a poor cut of flank. When questioned a member of staff stated this was the only cut of steak they serve. At £35 this is pretty poor! The lodge we stayed in was a nightmare to find. We stayed at the woodland lodge #806, the signage on route only goes up to 795. Had to go back to reception and ask for directions. The lodge was very hot a stuffy, no aircon on only a small fan provided to cover two rooms. The site could also do with more EV charging points near to each accommodation carpark. Overall the visit was passable due to the staff attentiveness.

Dated hotel, dirty rooms, kids running it - Very expensive for what it was hotel staff unhelpful had lunch and was told to go and get our cutlery from the garden room! Surely that’s there job? Room had hairs in the bath and on the mattress. Golden tickets were good but some rides didn’t line to let us thru and constantly let the other line through 🤷‍♀️

Rides close most of the time - In two days only half of the rides as they are mostly closed for different reasons
