- Alkmaar City Hall - The Alkmaar City Hall is a historic town hall in the city of North Holland’s Alkmaar. Constructed between 1509 and 1520, this Gothic-style building features a corner tower with an intricate pear-shaped spire and spans eleven bays in width.
- Grote Sint Laurenskerk - The Grote Sint-Laurenskerk, also known as the Great or Saint Laurens Church, is a church edifice located at Koorstraat 2 in Alkmaar. It is a cross basilica made of natural stone-covered brick with a heptagonal choir closure, built from 1470 to 1518.
- Clarissenbolwerk - Following Alkmaar’s alignment with the Revolt in 1572, the city immediately commenced the modernization of its fortifications. The existing defenses, dating from 1525 to 1550, comprised brick walls on the city’s west side and earthen ramparts faced with brick. Semi-circular towers were constructed at various points for artillery placement. However, it soon became evident that the existing fortifications would not withstand modern artillery. Fortification experts had realized the necessity for large bastions and substantial earthen ramparts. The Clarissenbolwerk was one of the bulwarks completed just before the Siege of Alkmaar in 1573.
