Capturing the essence of someone - This was a really cool workshop. Customizing a gift/souvenier for my daughter was neat. I got to make something for her that was uniquely "her".

I only have one regret... - ...and that is that I didn't make one for myself! My parents, my husband, and our three kids all went today after a quit terrible flight from the US to Iceland. We were all particularly exhausted but I had booked ahead with Alma for these because I thought the kids would really love it. They were very tired and unenthusiastic when choosing all the parts for their custom wool monsters, but when we got back to the hotel, that's ALL they talked about! The blue lagoon? Not a peep. All the sight seeing? They don't remember half of it. But they have named their monsters, given them personalities, had them sing songs together, and are currently tucking them into bed to watch movies with them. I can't say enough good things about this visit! I'll have to come back to get one for myself next ❤️

The Skrimslis workshop - Do it! - I simply loved it! I saw the Skrimslis on Instagram and fell in love with them. The workshop was an exceptional experience at the end of a wonderful holiday. Alma is a lovely host and the location is great with an awesome view. We had a lot of fun and I am super-happy with our little monsters.

Unique, creative, awesome, Skrimsli! - The Skrimsli workshop is the best way to take home an unique Icelandic souvenir! So many choices to make your own little monster. Don’t forget to read the book also!

Icelandic Monsters! - This was such a fun, creative unique souvenir! My mom and I booked the workshop and it was nothing less than amazing. Alma is so friendly and kind and you can customize your skrimsli to fit your style! Adorable workshop right on the beach, would definitely recommend for any age!

If You Think You Won’t Be Into It, You’ll Love It Still - Alma is the sweetest woman! Her English is perfect! Her workshop is a little standalone room in the back of her house overlooking the water. It may seem like a child’s activity, but it’s just as much fun for adults! My parents (62) and I (~26) had so much fun. It was not a lot of waiting, just a lot of doing. There were so many options, but not enough to make it overwhelming! Alma will just talk to you as she zips together your creature. The view out the HUGE wall of windows in out onto the most beautiful shore. Additionally, I am asthmatic and Autistic. The workshop was great on my lungs and the perfect amount of sensory input!
