Note: The Alexandria Library is closed on Fridays, so you will only be able to take photos from the outside.
- Catacombs of Kom el Shoqafa - Next, visit the Catacombs, which date back to the 3rd century and feature a blend of Greek, Roman, and Egyptian art.
- Fort Qaitbey - The Citadel of Qaitbay (or Fort Qaitbay; Arabic: قلعة قايتباي‎) is a 15th-century defensive fortress located on the Mediterranean Sea coast in Alexandria, Egypt. It was established in 1477 AD (882 AH) by Sultan Al-Ashraf Sayf al-Din Qa’it Bay. The citadel is situated on the eastern side of the northern tip of Pharos Island at the mouth of the Eastern Harbour.

Had an excellent day tour... - Had an excellent day tour in Alexandria, made special by our fantastic tour guide Muhammed Ramadan. From the moment we sat in the car he began telling all about the surrounding area and its rich history. He expertly took us through the Catacombs, the Citadel, the ‘amphitheater’ and the library (which was closed due to Easter). He was very knowledgeable and passionate, which elevated our experience all the more. We were also able to make small changes to our itinerary (taking lunch early) which really allowed us to enjoy the tour at our own pace. At no point did we feel rushed and he would always stop to show us the optimal photo spots. Overall, it was great tour of an amazing city which has so much to offer.

Best Guide and Driver Duo I Ever Had - Both our driver and guide were exceptional! As part of the ministry of tourist, she handled herself with grace and humor as we walked through catacombs, mosque, Qaitbay, the Roman Amphitheater and lunch on the water. Due to it being a Friday the Library was closed - we still had moments of education and many pictures! After the tour we were able to stay in contact with our driver, Ahmed- a dear friend to us now he offered information on where to eat, dance and even reasonable train ticket prices. As avid travelers we can only hope to find such helpful and genuine people everywhere we go. Will choose Emo Tours again in the future! Thank you for the experience and recommendations(:

Book early to avoid... - Book early to avoid crowd. Drive through Alexandria was fascinating looking at all the old buildings and interesting architecture.

A great sight seeing with a great driver Mr. Ahmed - I took only driver and car from emo via vitor. The driver Mr. Ahmed is a very humble and polite person. He is very caring and listened to my requirements. he drove very safely. He never refused any of my requests. I must advise that Mr. Ahmed must be sent as driver to the most of the city tours.

Great Way to See Alexandria - We had a fantastic day in Alexandria with our tour guide, Reem. She was very knowledgeable and easy to understand. We appreciated that she give us some time to ourselves at each location so soak in the environment. All of the sites were interesting in their own way. The lunch option was delicious. Additionally our driver from Cairo, Omar, was very kind and we felt very safe and comfortable in his car. Overall a great tour for a great price and would highly recommend to anyone staying in Cairo.

Great tour of Alexandria sites - We booked this tour to see several top sites in one day. Our tour guide, Kristina was easy to be with and gave us the insight and knowledge needed to understand what we were experiencing.
We covered a lot of ground with Kristina and our friendly driver and would recommend this tour.

One day we'll spent in Alexandria - Nice 6 hour trip that shows you most salient parts of Alexandria. English speaking guide (Zaina) was good and never rushed us.
Two important things though
1. The Library is a MUST see but it is closed on Friday. So try to take the tour on some other day.
2. On the site it states that you can join only at one of 2 points. Actually they can oblige by picking you from your hotel. So check directly with your contact person.

We did all the sites in... - We did all the sites in Alexandria the guide explained and was quite knowledgeable. She picked us up on time. She was very pleasant. Only thing was when we did the catacombs she did not accompany us down to explain if she did that it would have been better. Also, the lunch they promoted is not worth it

Abysmal pre service - We have booked the trip and been advised of 2 pick up address’s, which are 30 minutes apart! I have tried to contact the local rep on many occassions, but no answer. The help desk in Las Vegas - they hung up on me. I have sent messages to various places - no reply. So I am not rating the trip - we have not been on it and may not go if we guess the wrong pick up point- i am resting the pre service which i would have given no resting if i could.
