Visitors will explore the Catacombs of Kom El Shokafa, view Pompeii’s Pillar from the outside, and see the Roman amphitheater. Seafood lunch is available but not included. The tour continues to the Alexandria Library, the Great Library of Alexandria, which requires an extra ticket. This was the largest library in the world, likely established by Ptolemy I (305-285 BC), and was a crucial center of learning in ancient times. The tour also includes a visit to the Mosque of Abu al-Abbas al-Mursi and a view of the Castle of Qaitbay, located on the site of the ancient lighthouse, from the outside. Guests will be safely returned to their hotel in Cairo.
