Quinta Do Frances Winery - Experience Quinta do Francês hospitality.
Upon your arrival at Quinta do Francês you can enjoy beautiful views of the surrounding hills and all the vineyard. It is even said by some visitors that it looks like a small Douro Valley.
You then enter our wine shop & tasting room, where you can purchase our products and also regional products.
- Silves - The town is famous for having the most well preserved castle of the Algarve. Silves was once the capital of the Algarve and the town stands out because of its Arabic architecture.
Silves’ red sandstone castle, which dominates the town, was built by the Moors who held the Al-Gharb (Algarve) region from the 8th to 13th centuries. During this time, Silves (known at the time as Xelb) became an important centre of trading and culture and was the capital of the Al-Gharb.

This is an uncomplicated excursion for those who appreciate wine. Bask in a country trip through fields of orange trees, all while enjoying the view of hills abundant with the typical Algarve.
We’ll be touring a single vineyard, which may not necessarily be Quinta do Francês. It could potentially be another equally excellent one.
This possible group tour commences from a singular convergence point.
Should you desire a tour with hotel pick up included, kindly opt for a private tour, as hotel pick up is available only on private tours.

Positive - Gabriel was an excellent host full of knowledge and enthusiasm. Very well organized trip from start to finish. The staff in the winery were very informative and willing to answer any questions. The wine was good too!
We would definitely go for another trip with him if the opportunity came up.

First class private tour - We had a fab trip to visit the castle in Silves and to a lovely small winery with our guide Gabriel. Communication from Gabriel was first rate when organising the tour and he’s a really warm character with loads of local and historical knowledge. Being picked up from our front door and then dropped off on request ready for the next part of our day, the trip was excellent value for money and I’ve already recommended GL Tours to family

Wine, Scenery, good company and excellent tour guide. - Picked up from hotel in Albufeira by Pedro our driver and guide for the afternoon. Very lovely guy and very knowledgeable. We were in a party of six to which Vtours accomadated with a spacious vehicle. Along the drive to Silves Vineyard Pedro pointed out many interesting factors and stopped along the way whenever we requested to admire any views we wanted to see.
Upon arriving at vineyard we were guided with interesting factors around the premises to see how everything worked as and when the grapes were ready to process.(Being February no grapes available on vines yet). then we sat in the Bar/History lounge and tasted 3 different wines and had tapas snacks before our journey back to the hotel. Good tour for the price.

Very enjoyable trip - We booked this tour after reading about it on Tripadvisor and we were not disappointed. Gabriel met us in our hotel reception and took us off for a lovely journey to the vineyard. He is very knowledgeable and he told us lots about the local history but we also chatted about everyday things. Sadly the weather was not the best on the day of our visit so we stayed indoors once we got to the vineyard but it was still very interesting. The tapas that was served after the tour was very good. I would recommend this trip which is only a few hours in duration but is well worth the money.

Wine Tour and Tapas - Patti and I spent a wonderful afternoon with Gabriel. A slow country drive to Quinta do FRancis where we had a very informative tour of the winery followed by tastings with a lovely charcuterie board.
Gabriel is highly informative and very friendly
We would definitely recommend his tours. A pleasure to spend time with.

Great afternoon - Four of us have just returned from our afternoon of wine tasting and tapas, and what a lovely afternoon it was! Gabriel was an amazing guide, very friendly and attentive. He arrived 10 minutes early to pick us up from our apartment and drove us the scenic route telling us lots of history and interesting facts on the way to the vineyard. When we arrived the ladies working there were lovely and knowledgeable. The wine was beautiful and the tapas were a nice selection.

Super! - Gabriel is an amazing and knowledgeable host! He picked us up from our Air BnB in Albufeira and took us to the vineyard, but gave us lots of history and background on the Algarve’s agriculture along the way. We were even able to stop and see some cork trees! The winery was small but very informative on the tour and we were able to sample some wines with cheese and meat. On the way back Gabriel gave us a few restaurant recommendations during our stay! Could not recommend more!

Fee Menzies - Seven of us did this tour last Wednesday 11th of September. We were picked up at our villa by Pedro in a fabulous minibus. He was full of information about our journey to the vineyard. Allowing us to stop off for photographs. The tour was interesting, the wines were delicious & we all purchased some to take home. Gabriel the owner gave us such a warm welcome. Great afternoon out.

Wine tour and tasting for hen party - Very lovely and friendly place! We were collected from our hotel in Albufiera and taken on a beautiful scenic drive to the wine tour where we were shown and told how the wine was made. The wine tasting was wonderful, very tasty and the tapas was also great! The whole hen party enjoyed this and the driver who picked us up (Pedro) was brilliant! So friendly and told us lots of information along the way!
