Set out to the well-known Benagil Caves, home to some of Europe’s most remarkable marine caves. Visit places that are inaccessible for other boats, indulging in the beauty of the magnificent rock formations up close.
Enjoy captivating explanations about the area’s natural history from the marine biologist onboard, and gain insights into the local bird species and the dolphins that entertain in the offshore waters during your exploration.
- This activity is not recommended for pregnant women or people with back problems
- Please meet at Gate 4 at Albufeira Marina at least 40 minutes before departure.
- The stop for a swim will depend on the sea conditions.
- If Local Marine Police order to not visit the caves due to sea conditions, the caves will be viewed from a safe distance.
- The stop for a swim will happen depending on the sea conditions. It will not be near or inside any cave or beach.
- There will be no disembark inside Benagil Cave
- Although we do our best to provide a french and/or german guide on all our boats, this may not always be possible.
- We offer an APP with audio and text guides of the tour, available in Portuguese, English, Spanish, French, German and Italian

Beautiful and spectacular coastal scenery - There are many beautiful scenery along the coastline of southern Portugal. As long as the weather is good and the waves are not big, you can take a boat to admire the coastal rocks here from the sea. The sea caves are a highly recommended itinerary for me. I can admire the magical power of the Creator.

Simply sensational ❤️ - The trip is really worth it! We did the “insomnia” to see the caves and the dolphins and it was wonderful! A trip that I will never forget! The team was great, we had to change dates and everything went smoothly. A special thank you to the boat guides, Mr. Antônio and Davi, you are awesome, very attentive and concerned about everyone's well-being!

Very nice to do but I think that outside the period it's better - It was really beautiful !!! We were able to see dolphins and the Benagil caves are magnificent
Very nice and friendly crew of the boat with a little extra we were able to swim a little offshore
To do at least once 😍
Small downside, there were a lot of people in the cave so we didn't stay long but it must be said that we were there on August 2 so this surely explains that
I recommend 👍

Magic ! Gorgeous ! - Thanks to Isabelle and Captain Jesus for this great experience! We booked a 2-hour private excursion in French as a family for 6 adults and 5 children: 16, 10, 8, 5 and 18 months. Supported very quickly by Dreams Wave. Capital was able to manage the speed at our convenience with maximum adrenaline and gave us a swim. The children were amazed. The icing on the cake: we saw the dolphins! It was just magical! 200% recommended.

Incredible!! - Jamie and David were excellent! Very funny and informative. This is a must while in Albufeira! The boat throws you about a bit but it's a smashin trip and the views are outstanding!

Beautiful Caves - Our guide Bruno was amazing.
Very friendly and engaging.
It is definitely worthwhile doing.
This trip should be merely sold as a boat trip to the Benagil Caves as we didn't see any dolphins which of course can never be guaranteed.

The scenery and cave were... - The scenery and cave were great. It would have been better if we were able to get out to see the cave up and close. The long ride in the ocean to find dolphins was not great and could have been skipped. I’m sure more times than not, no dolphins are found so time would of been better spent if we would of gotten off at the cave.

Not enough time at benagil - Started in Albuferia. Got on a boat. They were good about giving children life jackets. Most of the time is spent in transit on the speed boat (people on the ends got quite wet with all the splashing). Had some caves pointed out along the wave. Stopped for about 10 minutes for an optional swim. The water was quite choppy, so not too many people did that. Then you finally get to the Benagil cave. But we spent just a few minutes there, and turned the boat around. It was disappointing not to be able to go further in the cave (probably because of the boat size) or spend more time there... then the long transit back home. Bonus was they did stop for us to see some dolphins. But otherwise, if you want a little more of a benagil tour, probably book a kayak trip or small boat trip.
