Amazing Day With Riste Visiting Two Family Owned Wineries - My husband and I feel that our day with Riste visiting 2 family wineries was well worth the money spent! We learned so much about wine and the growing of the grapes from Riste and the family members of the wineries we visited. Tasting the wines was the best part and we ended up ordering a case of wine selections to be shipped home to us! Having the one on one time with Riste and the daughters at each winery was very special to us. We were able to witness the passion for wine and family that each encounter shared. My husband and I have come away with a completely new appreciation of Italian wines and what it takes to grow exceptional grapes.

Thumbs up for Wine Invasion and Riste - GREAT TIME! - My husband and I like to tour wine countries from around the world, and this July we had the opportunity to head to the Langhe region, and I found Riste’s information online. What a great surprise, and lucky us! Riste gave us options on how to meet him including helping us navigate the unusual train schedules leaving Turin with its multiple train stations. It was super easy to meet up with him by communicating via WhatsApp. And afterwards, since we had more traveling to do within Europe, he even helped organize shipping for our wine purchases. We had a gorgeous ride through the Langhe region surrounding Alba. And we stopped for a delicious lunch, recommended and reserved on our behalf by Riste. Full service. Riste is friendly and communicative and flexible and, most importantly, he took us to small boutique wineries that were family-owned that we would not have found on our own all the while focusing on the type of wines that we like to drink. The tastings were personable and warm with smart and fun interactions with the wine makers. Just a great experience for both of us. So enjoyable!!!

Thoroughly enjoyable tour - not to be missed! - What a fabulous experience! We spent the day with Riste, our very knowledgeable, interesting and friendly sommelier/guide. He organised an itinerary for us that helped us better understand the Lange wine area - its wines, its history and its people. We met two families of wine producers, one in Barolo and one in Barbaresco, touring their cellars and having interesting, detailed wine tastings and discussions. So enjoyable! Riste also booked us a table at a beautiful restaurant for lunch (at our cost). If you already know a little about wine and you want to avoid big group tours that are impersonal and too superficial, this is the tour for you. We highly recommend it!

Day with Riste - We had a most excellent day with Riste. He picked us up at our hotel in his spotlessly clean and comfortable car. Within a few minutes of meeting him it felt as if we were going to have a great a day. While driving to the first vineyard he provided a history and geology lesson of the area. Our itinerary included tastings at two beautiful wineries with a leisurely lunch in the middle. Each winery was different and memorable. The staff at both were interesting, engaging and went beyond what was expected. Due to the timing of our visit seasonally, we were able to watch the crush at one winery. Both wineries shared tastings not only of area’s well known Barolo and Barbera d’Albas but also other varietals which they are growing with success. Lunch was at a local restaurant where the food was and overall experience was outstanding. It was an outstanding day, and it is one we will recommend to our friends and family.

Very appreciative Donna & Jim - My wife & I thoroughly enjoyed our Lange wine tour visits of two wineries, one near Barbaresco and an afternoon tour in Monforte d’Alba. The winery owners were very accommodating and generous with their time, describing their processes and aspects of their operation, despite that they were in the throes of final harvest. Our private sommelier and tour guide, was knowledgeable, engaging and punctual during our tour. The wines tasted covered diverse varieties, culminating in Barbaresco in the morning & Barolos in the afternoon. Riske also arranged a fantastic lunch just on the outskirts of Barbaresco, Osteria Taste. We had a fabulous an memorable day. Riske’s company is highly recommended.

In the morning our tastings began with Barbera, Nebbiolo, while finishing with several fine Barbaresco tastings. The afternoon was equally rewarding with tastes of unique white and red derivatives culminating with several fine Barolo tastes. The wine makers were generous with their time and explanations of their processes, even though they were in the final throes of harvest. In between the tastings, Riste arranged for us to have a delightful lunch at the Osteria Taste. My wife and I had a very satisfying time during this tour, all due to the knowledge, cordiality & punctuality of Riste, our tour guide. I highly recommend his services.

Excellent Langhe Wine Tour! - Riste did an excellent job planning our two days in the Barolo and Barbaresco regions. He set us up with several small producers with outstanding wines and helped us understand the nuances of the terroir. I highly recommend Riste when looking for a wine tour in the Barolo and Barbaresco region.

Fantastic wine tour with an incredibly knowledgeable and friendly guide! - Riste is a fantastic tour guide and made sure that we have an amazing day! He was more than happy to accommodate our requests and is incredibly knowledgable about the wine and surrounding area. We were very impressed with our experience and would highly recommend him to anyone wanting to have a private wine tour in the Langhe region. You can easily tell that Riste is passionate about wine and happy to share his knowledge! He was also happy to add on an extra winery for us to visit (for a small charge). We loved his philosophy of curating an experience with local family-run wineries that provide an intimate wine tasting experience. He even gifted us a bottle of wine at the end of the day!

Super interesting and fun day - We organized a full-day wine tour with Riste through the Barbaresco and Barolo area. Already beforehand, he was very engaged in planning the day with us, really taking our needs and wishes into account—such as which winemakers we wanted to visit, the size of the wineries, and which crus we were most interested in. The most convenient day for us was a Sunday, and he was happy to arrange the entire tour then. Riste picked us up directly from our accommodation (in a very comfortable car with AC and water for us). We visited two winemakers, drove around the area, and he even booked us a wonderful lunch spot. This day was truly invaluable for us. Not only did we get to visit some fantastic wineries—including small family-run estates with special and unique wines—but we also really enjoyed spending the day with Riste. He is incredibly knowledgeable, and we learned so much from him. He gave us rich context about the region, the winemakers, production methods, tasting notes, and so much more. Beyond the tour itself, he also gave us excellent recommendations for restaurants and enotecas. Even after the day was over, he was super helpful when we reached out with questions about buying different bottles or when we needed further guidance. Thank you, Riste—everything was just perfect!
