Enthusiastic Guide - There is more to coffee than drinking it. The guide helped us see coffee in a new way. Sarchi was also enjoyable.

Interesting for coffee lovers like us - This place is very interesting for coffee lovers like me us. You have a basic lunch. You are taken on an onsite tour about how different varieties of coffee are produced and processed. You get to sample some coffee beans. Staff are friendly.

A perfect day - It was a great tour. Coffee plantation, Grecia and Sarchi. Jorge was a friendly knowledgeable guide. We enjoyed our private tour of the plantation and even our young teen thought it was all very interesting. Lunch was delicious and lovely with Jorge joining us. He was very accommodating and very chatty in the long journey back and forth from San Jose. We had a great day with him and would highly recommend him and the tour.

Patience, Sacrifice, Hard Work!!! - Our tour guide Mr. Garry and the coffee bean education… fabulous!!! The coffee knowledge that was shared in both English and Spanish couldn’t be purchased at a university… only at Doka…❤️🇨🇦☕️

Fascinating and informative tour with great coffee and food - The coffee and village tour was well run and informative, Gary and Carlos both looked after us very well during the drive between the towns and getting in and out of the bus. It was very interesting to see the different attractions and we felt we had enough time to see and enjoy everything. The lunch was lovely and the family all enjoyed it (including the children aged 14, 12 and 10)

Experience cancelled at last minute - Our trip was canceled with no real reason offered within 24 hours of when it was due to be offered. We received the email notice of cancellation when we were enroute to Costa Rica. We received a full refund; however, it caused significant last minute issues and we were not able to to book a coffee excursion as hoped.

Total disappointment and overpriced - This tour was a complete disappointment. The guide had no real knowledge of coffee and couldn’t answer even basic questions. On top of that, he made disrespectful comments about Nicaraguans and Panamanians, which was uncomfortable and unacceptable. His language skills were poor, making communication frustrating throughout the day. The pickup time was changed last minute from 9:00 to 10:20, and because of the 24-hour cancellation policy, I was stuck. We spent more time sitting in the car than actually seeing or learning anything of value. Do not book this tour. Skip the intermediaries and take an Uber directly to a coffee farm instead.

Deceptive - First, I received an unsolicited payment link with an email about this trip. When I tried to view the booking for this trip the Tripadvisor link repeatedly showed an error message. So I contacted them by telephone and was told I was the only participant and they would not take just me. He told me I could cancel. I said yes, please cancel. I specifically asked if I would receive a refund and was told I would. Now they say they can’t document that and don’t seem to want to refund my money. I booked a tour with a different company at a higher last minute price. Based on my experience I would not recommend.
