Highlights
  • Pyramids of Giza - Begin your tour anytime between 7:00 am and 1:00 pm with a pickup from Cairo airport by our local tour guide, who will be holding a sign with your name. You’ll be transferred in a private A/C limousine to Giza City, where you’ll visit the renowned Pyramids of Giza. Explore the Great Pyramid of King Cheops and the Middle Pyramid of King Chephren. You can also enter any of the pyramids for an additional fee, which our guide will help you with. Then, visit the Sphinx, one of the oldest and largest statues in ancient Egypt.
  • Giza Plateau - The Giza Plateau (Arabic: هضبة الجيزة‎) is located on the outskirts of Cairo, Egypt. It is the site of the Fourth Dynasty Giza Necropolis, which includes the Great Pyramids of Khufu, Khafre, and Menkaure, the Sphinx, several cemeteries, a workers’ village, and an industrial complex.
  • Great Pyramid of Cheops (Khufu) - The only completely preserved portrait of King Khufu is a three-inch high ivory figurine found in a temple ruin at Abydos in 1903. Other reliefs and statues were found in fragments, and many of Khufu’s buildings are lost. Information about Khufu comes from inscriptions in his necropolis at Giza and later documents, such as the Westcar Papyrus from the 13th dynasty.
  • Khafre’s Pyramid - The only completely preserved portrait of King Khufu is a three-inch high ivory figurine found in a temple ruin at Abydos in 1903. Other reliefs and statues were found in fragments, and many of Khufu’s buildings are lost. Information about Khufu comes from inscriptions in his necropolis at Giza and later documents, such as the Westcar Papyrus from the 13th dynasty.
  • Menkaure Pyramid - Menkaure’s pyramid complex includes a valley temple, a causeway, a mortuary temple, and the king’s pyramid. The valley temple once housed several statues of Menkaure. During the 5th Dynasty, a smaller ante-temple was added to the valley temple. The mortuary temple also contained several statues of Menkaure.
  • Great Sphinx - The Sphinx is the legendary guardian with a lion’s body and the head of King Chephren, standing by the massive funeral complex.

recommend - Although it was quite a hot late September day (37 Celsius = 98.6 Fahrenheit) being so close to the amazing historical sites is awe inspiring. Our guide and our driver were lovely. To feel safe and have an air-conditioned car is highly recommended.
