- Please note that weather in Iceland is unpredictable and that the tour can be cancelled on short notice due to unfavourable conditions at sea.
- This is a wildlife tour and therefore sightings cannot be guaranteed. In case of no sightings, we offer the opportunity to try again for free in either Reykjavík or Akureyri..
- We abide by a code of conduct for responsible whale watching, which means that all sightings are on the wildlife’s terms. We can therefore never guarantee up close encounters.
- Please note that our fleet is not completely wheelchair accessible as there are steep stairs between lower and upper decks and high thresholds to get from the decks into the saloon as well as from the saloon to the toilets.
- Wheelchair users are welcome to bring a foldable chair onboard our bigger boats, but if possible, please contact us well in advance as we may need to assist with boarding.

Highly recommended whale watching trip - Fantastic trip with a great crew and very well set up boat. They genuinely care about protecting the sea life and really wanted to make sure we saw some whales. We were fortunate enough to see three humpback whales on our trip. Highly recommended!

A whale of a time! - An amazing trip out to see these beautiful creatures combined with an authentic boat trip . The guide Gissela was really lovely, so informative and took pictures of the whales which we were sent for free.
A must do experience when in Iceland and definitely when in Akureryi.

Amazing whale watching experience - Me, my wife and teenage son went on the whale watching trip on the 31st December and it did not disappoint. The weather was windy and the water was choppy but this only added to the excitement and experience. Having set out on the trip with low expectations due to the weather we saw 4 humpback whales. We watched them on the surface and diving with their tails clearly visible above the water. We also watched as they breached a few hundred metres in front of the boat. It was a lifes dream come true for me and my family witnessing these majestic, yet gentle creatures in their natural habitat. Our guide Jacob was extremely friendly and knowledgeable and both he and Gisela took some amazing photographs of the whales which we were given access too via Dropbox. (I've only included the photos taken from my phone in the review and their photos are much better quality than mine). Thank you again for a wonderful experience that we'll never forget, I highly recommend this trip to any visitor looking for a whale watching tour

Amazing experience - Amazing Experience. I have been on the boat on the 29th of December. It was an outstanding trip. The crew was fantastic, especially Gisela.
We were lucky to see 8 different whales. The sea was very flat, and with the sun, it was incredible.
There is an opportunity to have an extra layer given to you by them. It helps if it’s very cold outside.
During the trip, you can spend your time inside the boat and relax yourself. There is also a bar.
If you ask them, they also share the photos taken during the experience.
This experience is really worthy. It’s adapted to every age.

A memorable trip! - It was a great trip from start to finish. The scenery was stunning and we saw lots of humpback whales! The team were great and we went further than expected to find them but they don’t rush us and we had plenty of chances to view the whales in their natural habitat.

Brilliant value whale tour with friendly crew and amazing wildlife - We did the Whale Watching from Downtown Akureyri tour and honestly couldn’t fault it. It was a great price, the staff were genuinely friendly, and the whole trip felt really well looked after from start to finish.
We were lucky and saw loads of wildlife, and what I really appreciated was that they ran the tour over the allotted time because we kept spotting more on the way back, it didn’t feel rushed at all. They also offered free hot drinks throughout, which was perfect for staying warm out on the water.
A really nice touch was that the spotter took photos and they offered free copies of the images, which we weren’t expecting. Plus, being so close to the waterline and the whales made the experience feel even more special.
Would definitely go again and would happily recommend it to anyone visiting Akureyri.
