Excellent tour, excellent guide - This was a brilliant tour! The highlights for me were the cave and mud pools, I had never seen anything like it that. The Nature baths at the end were the best I've been to! Inga the guide was so informative and kind, and very well prepared! She loaned us spikes for our shoes so we wouldn't slip and used a shovel to clear the ice from the steps down to the cave, which was really appreciated 😄

Great tour and guide! - The locations visited on this tour can easily stand on their own for beauty and awe. The added bonus of locations used in Game of Thrones enhanced the fun of the tour! Lilja was a fantastic guide, answering all of our questions and then some, with great local knowledge and information. She was also very caring and conscientious, making sure every stop was safe (many slippery areas), taking pictures, and adding the little things that made the trip more special.

Fantastic Tour - As usual in Iceland, a stunning daytrip taking in so many amazing places with a wonderful guide. Trolls, lagoons, lava fields, continental plate rifts, placid lakes, waterfalls, wild blueberries, just heaven for the senses. Highly, highly recommend, it's a day you will never ever forget. The stories about the places were fascinating and coming from a local were truly authentic. A wonderful day of beauty, weirdness and just straight up magical nature.

Excellent trip with knowledgeable guide. - Superb tour with Inge. The minibus was a few minutes late collecting us from the port (we were on a cruise), but that was no problem. Inge was a delight. Very knowledgeable, friendly, and a good driver. We had excellent commentary throughout the tour, and she made sure everyone knew what they needed regarding timings to leave each place etc, and reassured us about being back on board in time for our departure. A great day all round.

Waited 30 minutes and was shouted at by rude office staff - First, the sole positive: the tour guide and driver Inga was pleasant and knowledgeable. In a way, her knowledge was wasted on the cruise tour group where some of the inconsiderate senior folks were playing videos on their phones even as she was speaking. As for the rest: passengers on these trips seem to be from the monstruously large cruise groups that unload in Akureyri and all that entails. I was told I would be picked up at 8:50. I was out of my hotel waiting on the street well before that but utltimately pick up was 30 minutes later than that. Apparently they had picked up the cruise passengers first. For the amount you pay for this tour, they should have the courtesy to notify passengers who will be picked up later than expected. Anxious about not hearing anything at all from the operator, I called them. I was unable to reach anyone during the first three calls (starting at 8:53). When the call was finally picked up the fourth time, it was some guy who very condescendingly told me to "relax" a couple of times, didn't offer an opology and said the bus would be there very shortly. Almost another 15 minutes elapsed with no sign of the bus. I called and it was the same unhelpful individual. I asked what sort of vehicle to expect and made it clear that what I was experiencing was not satisfactory. Again, no apology was forthcoming. Instead, the Travelling Viking staff shouted "hey you" and then hung up the phone on me. This man's hostility and complete lack of customer ethos was absolutely breathtaking.
