Amazing tour! - Pack your suit for the hot baths! They are an extra cost approx $60/pp plus a charge for a towel so bring your own towel! When you check in you can buy a drink then you pick up your drink at the “bath bar!” You must shower prior to going into bath! For the most part each stop was an ample amount for seeing the sights.

The tour was great! The... - The tour was great! The only issue we had was finding the tour in the beginning because the kiosk was in front of the other cruise ship in port at the same time. The Godafoss waterfall is awesome! Our guide was very informative, especially explaining about how thermal power is used to provide energy to the inhabitants. Definitely an excursion to be remembered.

This was a great... - This was a great experience with convenient pick up and drop off from the cruise port. It was a smaller van (not a big bus) which made it possible to make various brief stops for pictures of this amazing country. The experience at the waterfall was very nice and enabled people of various physical abilities to go as far as they were able. Our driver/guide was personable and had his own farm that he took us to. It was a very fun visit and we would recommend it to others.

Akureyri excursion - Great tour. Saw several different natural wonders. Small group, 16 people. Driver was knowledgeable and entertaining. Would recommend. One of the many highlights of the trip.

our tour guide/bus driver... - our tour guide/bus driver Jon knew his material inside out since his roots go back many many generations. He provided insights into the sights we were seeing and provided a wealth of info on the culture of Iceland and its inhabitants. We were overwhelmed with the sights we saw that i will be reviewing our photos at our leisure to relive the beauty of what we saw. we choose Viator over the ships excursion and from feedback we got ours was the much better tour.

Excellent guide. Interesting stops in Akureryi - Excellent stops on this tour and out tour guide was exceptionally good about timing out smaller group to miss large bus crowds. Johan(es) was also very knowledgeable, keeping us entertained through the driving portion. This would have been a 5 star tour except the van was relatively uncomfortable compared to other options. 16 people squeezed into 17 available seats and the seats themselves were not comfortable. Thankfully the longest driving stretch was just over 1 hour on return. FYI we did notice other better equipped transportation options from the same vendor so what you get is likely luck of the draw.
