Reforma Agraria - First we will find ourselves in our information module where we will test the equipment that we will use during our activity.\n\nBefore entering to start the activity, you will be given a brief explanation of the importance of the Akumal protected area and the areas where we can swim for the conservation of the area.\n\nWe will enter our tour from the beach. It is important to mention that Akumal Bay is a shallow area, so we will first reach the grassland area where we will find the Sea turtles, most of them are of the white or green turtle species, although sometimes we can also observe Hawksbill turtles. Likewise, we will visit part of the akumal coral reef where we can observe a variety of tropical fish and sometimes we will observe rays or barracudas.\n\nIn our service area you will have lockers, bathrooms and showers for your comfort.\n\nIf you wish, at the end of our activity you can stay on the beach to enjoy the day.

Amazing experience - Great experience 🐢✨ We saw around 6 turtles (2 of them babies 🥺) and one stingray. Our guide Angelo was very friendly and helpful. Lockers are available at the beach 🏝️

Great Memories. Great Experience. - TLDR: It was great. Easy, safe and well-run. Very much worth the reasonable cost. Excellent experience from the beginning to the end. After making the decision to go and book through Trip Advisor the day before our morning reservation, David reached out to me on WhatsApp to confirm the time and meeting location (a stand just off the highway before you make it to the beach). The pin drop was accurate, and we were met by another employee. David came to give us a quick rundown of how everything would work. We waited as they prepared our snorkelling gear and life vests (two families, seven people in total). In our car, we followed behind two guys on a motor scooter who led us to parking ($100 pesos/day) outside the main beach entrance. After giving us our wristbands, we went inside (lockers are assigned, and you leave a deposit for a lock). We got changed and met Maria (our guide). She was excellent and friendly and led us through the hour-long swim, taking pictures and pointing out turtles, rays and other sites of interest. The real kicker was getting a link to the photos for download. I wasted time taking blurry pictures instead of fully enjoying the experience.

Definitely do this! - Angel was such a wonderful guide! He found us 5 turtles of various sizes, 2 stingrays, lots of cool fish. We couldn’t have asked for a better experience. Definitely recommend the private tour over the walk-in group tours.

Great Experience - Truly amazing and unique experience, we saw many turtles, coral, and tropical fish. They kept good communication with us and met us at the parking lot and explained the whole process. I would definitely do this again if I come back.
