Wonderful time, the best tour! - This was the best experience! Myself, my husband, and our two children (ages 7 and 9) did this snorkeling tour with Angela this morning. Angela is just amazing- provided the best directions and information on how to get to Akumal from our resort, and we happened to get on the same colectivo as her so she walked us to the beach. She was great with our kids, gave great information on the types of animals we may see while snorkeling. Our guide, Cari, was also wonderful during the tour, guiding us and our younger son while he held onto a floating ring for comfort. They were both very attentive the entire time and everyone felt very comfortable and safe. Our younger son is not a strong swimmer, but everyone was provided life jackets and safety was never an issue. We saw quite a few turtles! Also, many beautiful fish and some sting rays. Afterward, we shared some fresh fruit and stories. At the end, Angela walked with us back to the highway where we caught a colectivo back to our hotel (we just happened to be heading back at the same time as her). Akumal was a very cute little town, the bay was beautiful, and the trip was everything we had hoped for. I would not hesitate to book this tour! Thanks again so much for a wonderful experience :)

Best private snorkeling tour! - We had the best time with Angela! She is just a great person all around and was so good with our three children (10,8,6). She made it fun for all of us and after our snorkeling with turtles even made time for a shark lesson, educating us on how magnificent and misunderstood they are.

Exceptional Experience Viewing Turtles and Sting Rays - Angela is an expert naturalist. Before our snorkeling adventure she reviewed all of the creatures we might see. She swam with us and answered questions. The guide was skilled at finding the animals for us to see. We spent over an hour in Turtle Bay, much longer than other tours. We saw multiple turtles, small and large rays, squid and many varieties of fish. We highly recommend this tour.

Amazing experience for parents and kids, absolutely recommend and worth every penny! - While planning my first trip to Mexico with my 16- and 12-year-olds, I was struck by the excellent reviews on Viator for the snorkeling experience with Angela. From booking through the end of our experience, Angela was great with providing guidance so I knew what to expect and where to meet. There were larger groups we saw at the beach to have a less-expensive experience. I felt that our experience with Angela was really special and cool because she prepared us beforehand with information about the different species of animals we would see, information about coral reefs, sharks, the marine environment and more. The small group setting with Angela and our guide was supportive, friendly, and fun. During the dive, we saw sea turtles, rays and other fish, and enjoyed seeing the turtles swim up to take breaths. Angela took pictures and video also which she shared with us afterward. After the dive, we had snacks and water, and a good conversation. We spent several more hours at the Akumal beach, and this experience was one of our favorites of the trip. If tween and teens love it as much as their mom, you know this is a must-do experience!!

Best guide for Akumal - Angela guided us on our visit today to Akumal to swim with the turtles. She is a knowledgeable marine biologist and brings her love of and passion for the sea and all of its creatures. She began with a beach lesson, showing us pictures of some of the fish and turtles we were likely to encounter and explaining how we could be careful and mindful visitors to their world. In the water, Angela pointed out many creatures we might have missed, including sting rays, squids, parrot fish and many other species, along with the beautiful turtles. Angela was ever watchful to make sure everyone in the group was safe and comfortable in the water and adjusted to make sure all levels of swimmers were able to have an enjoyable experience. We would absolutely recommend Angela!

Incredible adventure with an exceptional guide - Thanks Angela! - Angela is an excellent guide! We have gone out with Angela twice and each time she has been extremely informative and attentive to all of us in our group. Angela is great at explaining everything you can expect to see providing a thorough tutorial on the various species of turtle, fish, and all aquatic life. Don't hesitate to use Angela as your guide regardless of your experience level as she is very safe and goes over everything. We had so much fun and won't hesitate to do additional outings with Angela!

The best experience ever! - Where to begin? Angela and her team are second to none! She shares her knowledge and passion of for ocean life that sets the stage for a completely different than we ever had with other snorkeling trips. Having her sole attention was so helpful as we gained our confidence as snorkelers. We went at our own pace and experienced the wonders of the sea. We saw at least a dozen turtles and other beautiful fish swim right up to us. Thank you Angela for organizing the best experience ever!!

Support an organization doing some good and have a blast! - Angela is really engaging and my sea loving son loved the info she shared about all the local sea life and more. I would recommended snorkeling for kids who are a little experienced, it was too intimidating for my 5 year old- but go with your gut! Seeing the turtles and other sea-life was so magical and Angela is very passionate about her work! Support her organization and have a wonderful experience in the meantime! (Also: long sleeve rash guards and long swimsuits/leggings highly recommended - angela gave us this info but we booked more last minute so we didn't have all the gear with us- save some hassle and pack before arriving!)
