- Melina’s Tavern - Once you arrive at our restaurant, your sculpting teacher Nikos will give you a small tour of our art gallery and will show you similar sculptures like the ones you will be creating! Then, you will be seated and Nikos will give you a small introduction of the lesson, while trying out the first glass of local Nikteri wine. Then, you will choose you pumice rock and the lesson will begin. Throughout the lesson, you will try more Santorinian wines while also tasting traditional appetisers! During 2 hour lesson you Nikos will always be there to give you instructions and help you out in order to create exactly what you imagined!

Additional Information
We provide an entertaining experience for your loved ones, where they can enjoy local wines, savor regional appetizers, and learn the art of pumice stone sculpting. Nicholas Katris, the owner and resident sculptor along with his children, will assist everyone in crafting their own personal creations, which will then be meticulously packaged and prepared for them to take as a memento. The 2-hour event takes place in the serene environment of Melina’s Tavern, perfectly situated on the shore of Akrotiri Beach.

Very Enjoyable! - I had a great time doing this activity! I am not creative AT ALL but this was a very doable and enjoyable experience. This is a family-run business and everyone was so kind. There was a problem with the bus dropping me off at the wrong side of town and one of them kindly picked me up to ensure I was still able to participate. I would highly recommend this to anyone and would love to do it again if I ever find myself back in Santorini!

Loads of fun - This was more fun than we imagined!! It was very interactive and hands on. We sculpted a piece of our choosing while sipping on local wines and enjoying a charcuterie board. The owner and his 3 sons were very friendly and helpful. The pieces were a bit difficult, but the owner is right there to guide. The family is very fun. Def recommend for wine tasting!! 10/10.

AMAZING!!!!! - Was an amazing experience. Nikos is really creative and his family was very accommodating. They brought out an amazingly delicious platter of small finger foods, and the wine was yummy :)). Our sculptures turned out amazing thanks to hands on direction and clear mastery of an art that Nikos has. We had an amazing time I cannot recommend this enough it was most definitely my favorite part of my stay in Santorini!!!

Priceless Memory! - Wow!! Talk about immersing oneself in the true art experience of Santorini — surrounded by incredible wine & food — and right on the water?!?! My daughters (18 &16) and husband carved yesterday while I had an appointment & they can’t stop talking about the incredible time they had in the art studio. They created beautiful flowers out of local pumice stone to bring home — what a perfect souvenir & memory.
