Highlights

Akrotiri, an ancient village, holds a prominent position among the critical archaeological spots in Greece. This historic city, constructed around 2.000 BC, got annihilated by the Theran eruption around 1.610 BC, but the volcanic ash helped in maintaining the fine frescoes and numerous artworks nearly untouched.

You’ll be able to experience the life of ancient Greeks by strolling through the exact streets they used to ply around 4,000 years ago.

Megalochori, a genuine village, is an undiscovered treasure of Santorini. Picture the classic vineyards, the lava-based roads, the rehabilitated and deserted abodes post the 1956 earthquake, the vibrant house entrances, the conventional cave homes, and the native cafes or eateries close to the village’s main street or its plaza. This village presents a lovely blend of cream and white Cycladic houses with contrasting bright doors, and a good number of white churches with vivid blue domes.

At Koutsoyannopoulos Wine Museum, you’ll find all the information about the unique winemaking process of Santorini. By observing the historical exhibits of the winery, you can perceive the life of a winemaker on this island.

This exclusive museum is situated in a cave, providing it a unique and natural maze-like structure that stretches eight meters underground and 300 meters in length. The Koutsoyanoppoulos family devoted twenty-one years of resilience and non-stop toil to complete this extraordinary wine museum in this remarkable location, making all the efforts worthwhile.

An extremely thorough day tour of the island, you will walk away having learnt so much! - This tour was a massive surprise for me. I have walked away feeling like I have learnt so much about Santorini, the people, the culture, Akrotiri and it’s history and current complications, and got to enjoy a wine tasting on top of that! Lunch (extra expense) on the black pebble beach was lovely and relaxing, and free time for sunset at Oia was great. Thank you to Patrick, the guide who did an amazing job, and has seriously taught me so much on the day.

Great tour, fair price and funny tour guide! - We were a little skeptical about tours in Santorini after having a complicated experience with another company. However this tour was pleasant and we enjoyed every minute. Bus tour was the best way to see Santorini. The tour guide was so funny and honest. The driver was amazing, he really has skills. We finished our tour at Oia, so we saw the sunset from there. We spend 2 hours there before heading to our suites.
