• Ajanta Caves - Begin your day early at either 6:00 AM or 7:00 AM with a pickup from your hotel in Aurangabad. Our chauffeur will greet you at your hotel to commence your journey to the Ajanta Caves, which is a 2-hour drive. Upon arrival at the Ajanta Caves parking area, a shuttle bus will transport you to the entrance, where you can purchase entrance tickets.

Spend a couple of hours exploring the Ajanta Caves, then return to the parking area via the same shuttle bus. Next, proceed to the Ellora Caves, which is another 2-hour journey.

• Ellora Caves - Upon arrival at the Ellora Caves, enjoy 2-3 hours of exploration. The remarkable Kailasa Temple, also known as the Kailash Temple, is the highlight of Ellora, forming Cave 16. This temple is dedicated to Lord Shiva and his sacred abode at Mount Kailash. Its vast size is twice the area of the Pantheon in Athens and one and a half times as tall! The life-size elephant sculptures are particularly impressive. The most astonishing aspect of the Ajanta and Ellora Caves is that they were entirely hand-carved using only a hammer and chisel. While there are many cave complexes in India, these are undoubtedly the most magnificent.

Return to Aurangabad by 6:00 PM, where our driver will drop you off at the airport, railway station, or your hotel if you plan to stay overnight in Aurangabad.

Discover the wonders of Ajanta and Ellora caves on a same-day tour from Aurangabad. These incredible caves, carved into the hillside rock, are located in a remote area. Ellora boasts 34 caves dating from the 6th to the 11th centuries AD, while Ajanta features 29 caves from the 2nd century BC to the 6th century AD.
