We’ll kick off the day by exploring downtown Aix en Provence, where we’ll see its fountains, mansions, and the Saint Sauveur cathedral (1:30). Following that, we’ll delve into the universe of the artist Cézanne by touring his studio (entry fee not included: 6.5 euros). This will include a trip through ‘the painters’ field’ and ‘Cézanne’s portal’, a perfect location for a picnic amidst the Provence that the renowned painter loved. Once we’ve had our fill, we’ll head to Château Lacoste to appreciate its various modern art exhibitions, vineyard tour, and wine tasting to cap off the day on a beautiful note! Stops in Aix’s city center and local product shops (such as Puyricard chocolate, olive oil, confections, and lavender) may be possible, depending on our schedule.
