A must-do day trip to see Hill Inlet! - I really enjoyed the “Chill and Grill” day trip. I was a little worried that it may be too long of a day, as I’m a solo traveler and wasn’t really looking to swim in the water. However, the day had a nice flow to it, and there’s enough time to really see both Whitehaven Beach and Hill Inlet (the latter was the highlight of the trip)! The entire experience was super organized, and the crew worked really hard all day to put everything together! A special shoutout to my group’s guide, Johanna, who was cool, knowledgeable, and even took pictures of us at Hill Inlet. I will say— I would totally recommend renting one of the cabanas because (even in the winter) it was pretty hot on Whitehaven Beach, and you will be out there for a decent amount of time with very little shade from the sun.

Excellent. - The views on board the boat to Whitehaven Beach are spectacular. Green and tall hills. Blue skies and warm weather everywhere on this trip. The lunch was a treat. They served us sausage sizzle and a beef and bacon roll with cheese, lettuce, tomato, potato and lettuce. I enjoyed seeing the fish in the beach water as I went for a paddle with my legs in the water. I like that they guide you around Hill Inlet and that they give you free time when on Whitehaven Beach. The Beach itself is beautiful with green bushes, green and blue water, the views are next level, blue skies and warm weather. I even saw some goannas and even snakes. The snakes went away from me when I came so don't panic. I always wanted to visit the Whitsundays and Whitehaven Beach so glad I could do this.

Magical day - An amazing day out, we would definitely recommend the full day trip so that you have plenty of time to enjoy the beach as well as go up to the look out point and admire the stunning views across Whitesunday Bay. It was a magical day and the crew did an awesome job making us feel special, providing with yummy food and sharing interesting facts. Definitely worth it! Admittedly we were slightly worried at departure by the large group but the beach is able to take it (and many more!) and the crew amazing to make us all feel special.

Do it or you will regret it - This was the most amazing day! I was worried my kids might have not had enough to occupy them for a full day, but they will talk about this for years and years to come. What an experience! Great crew.

Picture Perfect - I am sharing our experience of Whitehaven Beach and Hill Inlet Lookout Chill)( We had the most amazing and memorable day recently with Cruise Whitsundays We boarded this cruise at Hamilton Island on a not so promising rainy somewhat windy April Morning at approx 8am. We were made aware that previous days weather had forced them to change their plans. While we were cruising , sometimes somewhat rocky, we were served tea and snacks and we were given dry bags to put all our belongings into. Luck was on our side and by the time we reached our first stop the captain was happy to continue as promised. At this point we had to leave the big boat and transfer to a smaller tender to be able to reach a little beach. By now the sun was shining. There was a dedicated area on the beach where we could leave all our stuff while we did a comfortable hike up to the Lookout point. Our guide pointed out different things to us as we went including a snake. Oh WOW to see the Whitsundays and Whitehaven Beach from the lookout was Breathtaking . It was Picture Perfect, Just like the postcards and books. I could not believe something could be that beautiful in real life. After the lookout we then hiked back down to the actual beach (Whitehaven) and walked on the stunning white sand and because the tide was out we were able to look in the pools To see what had been left behind. We then walked back to our little beach where we had left our belongings and waited to be picked up again. Sounds like a lot of walking but we are both in our mid to late 60s and it is very do able. While we were enjoying ourselves hiking our big boat and crew had been busy at another beautiful beach about 30 mins away, setting up the most amazing BBQ buffet lunch. There were steaks , chicken, salads burgers etc it was all so delicious and being cooked fresh right there in front of us. it was so well organised. There were benches to sit and eat at under the trees in the shade and we even got a visit from" Stumpy" the resident Goanna lizard. The staff were truly incredible and they were all so young. We had been given stinger suits earlier( stinger season March) if we wanted to swim or use some of the water sports equipment that was available . I just swam but I remember seeing people paddle boarding. It was brilliant. We stayed at this beach for a couple of hours. Some of our group went for more walks while here and some just sun bathed. Eventually it was time to go and the staff had to pack everything up and tender both the cooking/water sports equipment and all of us out to the big boat again. They did this with such confidence and always smiling and having fun with us. Beautiful trip back, arrived at Hamilton Island around 6pm. We had such a wonderful day, especially when it had started out rather dull and doubtful. It is definitely one of the Highlights of our Australian trip. A huge THANK YOU to All involved for making it so memorable.

An awesome day trip - highly recommend - I travelled with three boys aged 10-17 and we all had a great day. The boat trip was exiting, our guide was very personable and engaging and walking Whitehaven beach was very special. Our BBQ lunch was very good - steak, chicken, sausages and salad - and my sons couldn’t eat another thing. There was plenty of time for an afternoon swim and the trip home went quickly. I highly recommend and would definitely do again.

An awesome day out. - My wife and I have literally just had one of the best days ever doing the Whitehaven Beach and hill tour with Cruise Whitsundays. The weather wasn't the best in the morning, and we nearly decided to give it a miss... im so glad we didnt. We were picked up from Hamilton Island at 8.30 and an hour or so later transfered to a smaller boat to take us to the inlet beach. The staff are so attentive, and our guide, Redman, was a star, being both funny and knowledgeable. The views of the inlet are amazing, and after that you find your self in 10 inches of water with Lemon sharks and stingrays... how cool is that! You then make your way to a second beach where you spend the afternoon at your leasure and having the brilliant BBQ that is prepared for you. Thank you Cruise Whitsundays for a brilliant day.

Great day with Cruise Whitsundays - Whitehaven is a beautiful place and the weather was great, so we really enjoyed the trip. But I think we would have enjoyed it with almost any other provider on such a nice day! The transfer was OK, but one thing we haven’t realised is that they stop at Daydream island to pick up passengers from there (add 15-20 minutes to your journey), then they stop at Hamilton to pick more passengers, and same on the way back. The departure from Airlie beach is very early at 7am due to all the pick ups and drops off they have to do along the way. There are other providers offering direct transfers to Whitehaven, something to consider if you are travelling from Airlie Beach. Also the boat is packed like sardines, I’m guessing there were around 200 passengers on the boat, it’s the largest crowd that I’ve seen on the beach. The lunch was great with steak and grilled chicken and salads. Be mindful of seagulls, people were literally attacked by them while eating lunch on the beach. There is practically no shade on the island, but Cruise Whitsundays offer cool cabanas for hire, a necessity for families with young children. I don’t know how much they charge though. Overall we had a great day, and crew are working hard to look after so many passengers at once.

I need a refund for this... - I need a refund for this itinerary. I arrived at the address in advance, but according to the address prompt, the navigation directed me to the Airlie public parking lot, where I waited for an hour. Neither before today nor today did I receive any SMS or phone call notifications informing me that the actual address was different from the one in the navigation. This situation made it impossible for me to participate in the program.
