- Fatehpur Sikri - Upon arrival at Fatehpur Sikri, your local city tour guide will join you to begin a delightful day. Fatehpur Sikri is a small city in northern India, established by a 16th-century Mughal Emperor. Red sandstone buildings are clustered at its center. The Buland Darwaza gate serves as the entrance to the Jama Masjid mosque. Nearby is the marble Tomb of Salim Chishti. Entrance fees will be paid directly to your tour guide.
- Agra - After visiting Fatehpur Sikri, you will drive to Agra, which is 40 km away. Upon arrival in Agra, you will meet your Agra city tour guide and proceed directly to the Taj Mahal. You will not need to wait in line for Taj Mahal entrance tickets. Please note that the Fatehpur Sikri tour guide and the Agra tour guide are different individuals.
- Taj Mahal - The Taj Mahal is an ivory-white marble mausoleum in Agra, India, built by Mughal Emperor Shah Jahan in memory of his wife, Mumtaz Mahal. Construction began in 1632 and was completed in 1653, involving 20,000 workers and 1,000 elephants. It is a masterpiece of Mughal architecture with semi-precious stone inlay, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, and a symbol of love. After visiting the Taj Mahal, enjoy a delicious lunch at an Indian restaurant (at your own expense).
- Agra Fort - After a delightful lunch, visit another UNESCO World Heritage Site, Agra Fort. Located near the Taj Mahal, it was built by Mughal Emperor Akbar and served as the main residence for Mughal emperors until 1638. It is a masterpiece of Indo-Islamic architecture, constructed from red sandstone on the banks of the Yamuna River. The fort features many palaces, halls, and mosques and is considered a symbol of the Mughal Empire’s power and glory.
- Itmad-ud-Daula - The “Baby Taj” is a nickname for the Itimad-ud-Daulah Tomb in Agra, India, often seen as a precursor and inspiration for the Taj Mahal. It is a white marble mausoleum commissioned by Empress Nur Jahan for her father, Mirza Ghiyas-ud-din Beg, and is renowned for its intricate inlay work and delicate carvings. Constructed between 1622 and 1628, it represents a shift from red sandstone to white marble in Mughal architecture and is sometimes called the “Jewel Box” for its detailed decorations.

Highly recommend this tour trip covering all the must-see monuments in a single day. - Today I completed a 1-day tour of the Taj Mahal, Agra Fort, the Baby Taj Mahal, and Fatehpur Sikri Fort, departing from Delhi.
My journey started at 4.30am, and I reached Delhi by 7.30am. Driver Gulbir Singh was highly experienced and skilled. His driving saved me from missing my return flight, which was scheduled at 9pm from Delhi.
My Agra tour guide was Pushpendra Singh, and the Fatehpur Sikri guide was Shammu. Both were knowledgeable and gave the required information.
Guides helped me get my monument admission tickets quickly and skip the queue.
I highly recommend Viator, through which I booked my tour, as well as the driver and your guides who helped me manage my sightseeing and return journey. I had a wonderful experience covering both the far-seated sites, which are nearly impossible to complete in 1 day.
My tip is to depart early and start sightseeing as early as possible so you can cover both sites in a single day.

Trip to Taj Mahal - Had a long but enjoyable trip to the Taj Mahal and back to New Delhi yesterday with Suresh Thakur as our driver. He was excellent. He provided us with water, made a stop in both directions for a toilet and food break, provided us with wi fi throughout the trip and a mi ile phone charger and waited for us patiently while we visited the Taj Mahal and later went shopping. He then dropped us to the airport the following day. I highly recommend him.
Our accompanying tour guide Singh was very knowledgeable about the Taj Mahal but was clearly on commission with local merchants. He insisted on taking us to see rugs being handmade which was interesting but then we got drawn into the shop where we were shown hundreds of rugs which we didn’t end up buying. He then took us to a jewellery shop which was interesting. I bought a beautiful expensive bracelet there however it broke when I put it on today. So disappointing. He then showed us the fort by car and then suggested we go to the marble shop to see how marble was made. That’s when I reiterated we were very tied. So our driver then drove us home.
Was a very worthwhile trip nonetheless.

Great trip with Bagga! - We went on a day trip to the Taj from New Delhi with our driver, Suresh Thakur, and had an amazing time. He was very professional and accommodating and we had lovely conversation during the trip. The wifi is quite good in the car, sometimes dropped out a little on the highway but mostly pretty strong connection.
We met the tour guide, Pushpender Singh, in Agra and he was very knowledgeable on the Taj Mahal, and put up with our thousands of photos. We jumped to the front of all the lines so very minimal waiting times, which was great as there were thousands of locals.
The guide will likely ask if you want to go see how carpets, jewellery and marble is made - they are all seperate shops and obviously they all want you to try buy something, so if you are not interested in going just say no, or if you’d like to see how it’s made but don’t want to buy anything, just be very forward with the shop keepers as they are very persistent.
It is 3.5-4hrs each way from New Delhi with a quick stop in the middle, so just note that if you spend lots of time in Agra after the Taj you will get back to new Delhi quite late.
Overall a great tour - would recommend booking through Bagga!
