A must experience - I really enjoyed this trip to Spinalonga. Only one bad thing, I would have wished to have some more time to explore. The island is a lot bigger than I expected. Since I’ve read the book by Victoria Hislop I had some knowledge what the islands history was. The boat trip itself was enjoyable, even if a bit crowded. We stayed for a swim at another island which was very pleasant, since it was a hot day. The food we got on the boat was okay, and I’m not a picky eater.

Our tour guide was very informative but also gave us enough time to explore the place alone. I loved the experience and only wished we could stay a little longer. The lovely coffee shop on the island is also so charming - the views from there are just breathtaking. If I have a chance I would go back to the island again anytime.

Thank you Nostos - My husband is disabled, & after explaining his needs to the crew to ensure it was safe for him to go on the trip, they were extremely helpful and attentive. They could not have done more to help him up the gangplank and steps down onto the deck. They advised the best seat for him to access facilities. He was able to be first on the boat & last off, so he was under no pressure. The whole trip was perfect, a real highlight of our holiday in Crete. Thank you Nostos!

A trip a dip and at the end a sip. - Lovely boat ride with a dip in the sea as a bonus. Travelled from Agios Nicholas with Nostros tours. Informative multi language guides who took groups around the island. We opted to do our own thing as the guided tour restricted the amount of the island you can see. It costs 8 💶 to get into island additional to your boat cost. You need to be reasonably agile to get the best of the island. When you return to port there are many bars to sip a cool glass of wine or three.

Typically touristy, but well worth it. - Was it worth it to go? Absolutely. Spinalonga has lots of interesting history and places/sites to explore. However do be aware of a few things (mostly minor). This is a typical tourist boat where there will be lots of people traveling with you. That's not really a bad thing, its just you need to get there a bit on the early side to be sure you get the type of seat you want, i.e. in the shade/outside in the sun etc. If you get there late the seats still available might or might not be the ones you prefer. Also there is a fairly narrow and steep ramp to get on/off the boat which may challenge someone who has mobility issues. Lastly not everything in the marketing brochure gets covered or even mentioned. For example the sunken city of Olous or the Kri-Kri Islands weren't even pointed out. However the reason you take this trip is for Spinalonga, and especially for the money, this is a good deal and was enjoyable. Would recommend.

Amazing Views - Had a wonderful trip to Spiralonga. We were lucky to have lovely weather, the coastal views were so relaxing. The lunch of Chicken, Cheese, Salad and Bread was very good. The boat stopped for about 30 minutes so people could swim in the sea. Well worth a visit

Informative and empathic tour guide Gloria - The boat could do with some padding for the seats but is otherwise a standard large people carrying vessel, with 2 bard on board & simple food available. The best part of the trip was out guide Gloria who expressed some real passion for the island and what it had done for those who lived there when it was a leper colony. She gave some great insight and some real empathy to bring the people to life. I also enjoyed that she had no patience for people walking through the group who had no regard & spoke loudly to each other as Gloria was speaking. Well done for shutting them down and not allowing it to interrupt tour tour. Our experience was greatly enhanced by Gloria.
